I'll tell you now, this mattress certainly warrants the attention it so frequently receives, gracing it with that sweet allure one can't help but be drawn to in the mattress world.

First Impressions

Instant impressions? Gosh, the beautifully sown soft-touch, stretch knit cover certainly won me over. It's lovingly designed to work in harmony with the memory foam and springs, contouring to each sleeper's body shape for that tailored, snug and comforting feel. However, I do have one little bugbear here. As much as I adored this cosy touch of luxury, I did miss that much sought-after characteristic - a removable cover for washing. It might be overkill to say that our Simba mattress is life changing but it sure is life improving! We were in the fortunate position of being able to up-size to a super king and, as much as I love my husband, I also love sleeping quite far away from him. In terms of the mattress itself, it's delightfully firm yet squidgy at the same time, so we do sink nicely into it whilst still feeling super supported. It has massively reduced my various aches and pains as well, which is an unexpected bonus (I'd read that this was a thing but was pretty sceptical). The significantly reduced motion transfer versus our previous coil spring mattress is absolutely brilliant. Since our central heating system leaves much to be desired, I can flop about when I get too hot without waking up my other half, and I definitely believe that the mattress's cooling / air flow properties helps. The ordering and delivery process was straight forward and completely painless. My only temporary gripes are that, as I haven't bought a mattress cover yet, our flat sheet slides about and comes untucked which is extra daily effort (I imagine that that's fixable though) and the mattress does have a very unpleasant odour but, two weeks in, it's definitely fading. I love this mattress and have already convinced my mum to get one as well.

We've had our Simba for a month now and I'm really liking it. My partner is a side sleeper and I'm a back sleeper and we find it's firm but we aren't waking up in pain like our previous mattress. We've just spun round after a month of use as instructed and like that this mattress has handles which makes it easy to spin. We tried an Emma mattress before and it was far too soft/springy feeling, this definitely feels like a foam mattress, which we like. I'm a hot sleeper and I'm not finding it uncomfortable - although it has been winter. Overall, so far so good but the proof is in the longevity so let's see!
