1. Overview

This website is operated by BedBoy. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean BedBoy. “You” means anyone using the site.

BedBoy is an editorial mattress comparison engine. We publish scored product pages, comparisons and buying advice for mattresses, beds and sleep products. We do not sell goods, hold stock or process orders. When you click an outbound link to a retailer and buy something, your contract is with that retailer, not with us.

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please stop using the site.

2. Acceptable use

You may read, share and link to our content for personal, non-commercial use. You may quote short extracts in articles, social posts or research, provided you credit BedBoy and link back to the source page.

You must not:

  • scrape, copy or republish our content in bulk without written permission;
  • use the site to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • upload viruses, malware or anything designed to interfere with the site;
  • attempt to access parts of the site that aren’t public;
  • use automated systems to harvest reader data, comments or contact details.

3. Intellectual property

All editorial content on BedBoy (text, photography, illustrations, video, scoring frameworks, the site design itself) is owned by BedBoy or licensed to us. You may not republish it elsewhere without permission.

Brand names, product names and logos belonging to third parties remain the property of those owners. We use them under fair-dealing rules for the purpose of editorial comparison and scoring. Their appearance on the site does not imply endorsement of BedBoy by the brand.

4. Affiliate links and recommendations

Most outbound links to retailers on BedBoy are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a product, the retailer pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate income funds the editorial team. It does not buy kinder coverage, a higher score or improved placement on the site. Full details, including which retailers we partner with, are in our affiliate disclaimer.

5. Editorial independence

Our scores and rankings are set by named editors and aren’t for sale. Brands cannot pay to be added, moved up the rankings or removed from negative coverage.

Where a brand has paid us to publish content (for example, an advertorial or sponsored guide), that page carries a “Sponsored” label at the top and bottom. Sponsored content is kept separate from editorial scoring and is never used to influence the BedBoy Score.

6. Third-party retailers

When you click an outbound link, you leave BedBoy and arrive at a retailer’s website. Anything you do there (creating an account, paying, returning a product, raising a complaint) is governed by that retailer’s own terms and conditions.

We’re not party to your purchase contract. We can’t process refunds, arrange replacements or speak to retailers on your behalf. If something goes wrong with an order, contact the retailer first. The Citizens Advice consumer helpline can help if a retailer doesn’t resolve a complaint.

7. Comments and user content

If you submit a comment or other content to BedBoy, you confirm that:

  • it’s your own work or you have the right to share it;
  • it’s not defamatory, offensive, threatening or unlawful;
  • it doesn’t breach anyone’s privacy or intellectual property rights;
  • you’re happy for us to publish, edit or remove it at our discretion.

We moderate user-submitted content before it appears on the site. We may edit submissions for length, clarity or compliance with these terms, and we may remove anything that breaks the rules above. We aren’t obliged to publish every submission.

You retain ownership of what you write. By submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish and store it on the site.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify BedBoy and its directors, employees and contractors against any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

9. Limitation of liability

We try to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we don’t guarantee that every page is error-free. Scores reflect our editorial assessment at the time of publication. Pricing, stock and product specifications are set by the retailer and can change without notice.

Nothing on BedBoy is medical, legal or financial advice. If you have a sleep-related health concern, speak to your GP or a qualified clinician.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content. This includes loss of profit, loss of data, loss of opportunity or distress. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that can’t be excluded under UK consumer law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how the site operates. The current version is always available at this URL, with the date of the last update at the top.

If we make a material change we’ll flag it on the home page or via a notice on the site. Your continued use of BedBoy after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
