I came at this from research rather than retail, and it shows. I'd rather know how a thing is put together than how it's sold. So I've ended up with the springs, the foams, the frames, and all the small print about slat gaps that nobody reads until a warranty gets refused. What I'm good at is spotting a number doing less work than it looks like. A four-thousand-spring mattress usually isn't. Ask me about that one and settle in.
