About the Sleepeezee Charlene Combination Mattress
Last checked
Pocket springs, a memory-foam pillow top and a teddy-finish velour cover put the Sleepeezee Charlene Combination Mattress in the cushioned pocket-sprung camp, rather than the spare orthopaedic camp. The build reads plush, not technical. Its tension is firm, 5 of 5, so the comfort layers are doing the softening work while the spring unit supplies the main resistance under load. Compared with many £700+ pocket-sprung builds that make their case through named spring counts, zoning or natural fillings, this one puts the value argument in the pillow top, reinforced edge support and tactile cover finish. That is an honest comfort-led specification, but a conservative one structurally: memory foam over pocket springs is a familiar recipe, and the practical feel is likely to be firm support with a padded landing surface rather than deep, enveloping sink. The pillow top should take some sting out of the firm core across the upper back and ribs, yet it will not behave like a softer memory-foam hybrid for hip and shoulder immersion. The mesh border helps airflow around the sides, while the teddy-style velour and foam make the sleeping surface feel cosy rather than crisp.
Back sleeping is the clearest match, especially where the priority is keeping the pelvis flatter and avoiding the hammock effect that can come from softer foam-heavy mattresses. Happier accounts repeatedly link the firm support with less backache, faster settling and waking more refreshed, and one detailed account from a heavier couple with long-term back issues is unusually positive about support and pressure relief. Side sleepers carry the bigger risk. The pillow top adds cushioning, but the firm spring feel gives shoulders and hips less room to travel, and low-scoring accounts repeatedly describe the mattress as extremely hard, with one complaint that it remained lumpy and board-like after a month. Delivery condition and handling also appear in the poorer feedback, including an out-of-shape arrival, a dirty surface, and a super-king described as awkwardly heavy and rigid on a narrow staircase. For couples, the pocket springs and reinforced edging should control roll-together better than open-coil mattresses and make the perimeter more usable, though a lighter partner may feel the firm tension more sharply if there is a big weight difference. Temperature feedback is more encouraging, with a recent account praising steadier warmth on hot nights, which fits the mesh-border claim better than the cosy cover might suggest. For back sleepers wanting a firm, cushioned pocket-sprung mattress with less partner disturbance, this is the right call. For side sleepers needing deeper shoulder and hip sink, look at medium memory-foam hybrids or softer pocket-sprung pillow tops instead.

Been sleeping on this a couple of weeks now and its nicely firm without feeling like a plank. The top has a cosy, velvety feel and Im not getting that rolling-towards-the-middle business when my other half turns over. Took a few nights to get used to, but my backs been much happier in the mornings. Feels well made and worth the money, even if Im still a bit fussy.
With the combination of a firm base and plush top, this mattress offers a great balance. Very comfortable for a good night's sleep.
It's very comfortable. I like it very much.
When you stop in fancy hotels and the giant dreamy bed is something you dream of actually having at home, well dreams come true, dreams beds made them come true, now we are living that dream Simply outstanding quality and beautiful
I bought this last month, took an hour and a half to build. Very sturdy and an amazing amount of storage space. Well happy
Bought 6 weeks ago just set up looking good

It is a so relaxing and amazing mattress, dont look at price as a whole but divide it up by the number of years and days. You will have amazing sleep for less than 2 pound a week. How amazing is that
Most comfortable mattress
I think I have been waiting for this all my life. It is like sleeping on air. Superb quality and easy to handle with the zipped seam.
Needs some getting used to as I've been sleeping on a bad matress for over a year during lockdown, now I've got my new matress my back is now improving great spend.
Best sleep for my sore lower back ever!
100% the best purchase we have ever made
Super king mattress is really comfy and great for my back and Insomnia. Why didn't I buy one earlier
Honestly one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in in a while! Certainly worth every penny - and we'll be buying another one soon when our son inherits ours when we move into our bigger house!
This mattress moulds to Your body and helps you have that craved after perfect sleep!
This is the best mattress I have slept on. I have tried many due to severe back problems and nothing compares to this mattress. Being petite and my partner being 64. This mattress is perfect for us both as it doesnt affect our nights sleep when the other person is turning over. Definitely recommend, especially to those who suffer with back problems. The staff were so friendly, helpful and answered all questions we had and didnt pressure us into anything.
Needed a new Mattress. I do not recommend buying a new mattress online as this is a personal choice purchase. I spend a lot of time in bed so I needed to make sure my new mattress was comfortable and correct for me. My shopping experience at Dreams was quick and easy and the staff were very helpful and spent time with me to find the correct mattress. Eventually I decided on the Sleepeezee Chelmford mattress and I am very pleased with my purchase.
