About the Dream Team Evesham Pocket Sprung Mattress

Last checked

The Evesham is a firm, 5 of 5 pocket-sprung mattress with a plush pillow top, DreamTex thermoregulating foam, a cool-touch cover and a spring system described as pocket springs plus micro springs. The surface is not just springs. That pillow-top construction gives the first contact more cushioning than a plain firm pocket mattress, while the deeper support is still set up to resist sink rather than let the hips drop. The 3000 spring headline is generous against basic 1000- or 2000-pocket mattresses, but the practical call is that this count appears to be built from full-size pocket springs plus smaller micro springs, so it should be read as layered cushioning and finer surface response rather than 3000 large support pockets doing the same job. Honest spec for this construction class. DreamTex foam and the cool-touch cover push the mattress towards a modern hybrid feel, although the manufacturer’s temperature language is more ambitious than the materials alone can guarantee in a warm bedroom. Silver infusion and antimicrobial treatment are hygiene features in the upper comfort system; useful as part of the finish, but not a substitute for airing, mattress protection or sensible bedding choices.

Back sleeping is where the Evesham makes most sense: the firm support holds the pelvis level, while the pillow top stops the mattress feeling like a bare orthopaedic slab. Back-pain relief is the clearest owner signal, with several descriptions linking better sleep to the combination of firm support and enough top-layer comfort; partner disturbance is also praised, which fits the pocket-spring and micro-spring build better than an open-coil mattress would. Side sleepers, especially those with broader hips or a pronounced hourglass shape, have less margin here because the firm support layer gives limited shoulder and hip sink, even if the pillow top softens the landing. The heat story is less settled. Cooling is praised by some, including those who usually overheat, yet a strong complaint says the mattress slept hot enough to cause night waking despite lighter bedding, so the cooling claim should be treated as variable rather than assured. Practical gripes also include the depth needing new fitted sheets and the weight making handling awkward, both believable for a pillow-top spring mattress with extra comfort layers. Best for back sleepers wanting firm support with a cushioned top. Less good for side sleepers, pronounced hourglass shapes and persistent hot sleepers, who would do better with a medium pocket-sprung hybrid or a foam-light cooler build.

Specifications

Manufacturer specifications without the jargon, easy to scan and compare.

Firm comfort support rating - feels solid and supportive

A firm comfort support rating indicates a mattress that provides a robust sleep surface, offering substantial support for the spine and pressure points. This level of firmness is particularly well-suited for individuals who prefer a stable and supportive sleeping area, often helpful for those with back pain or those who sleep on their stomach or back.

100 Night Comfort Guarantee - gives you peace of mind when you buy

A 100 Night Comfort Guarantee allows for a trial period where the product can be tested in your own home environment to see if it meets personal comfort standards. If it doesn't meet your expectations, it can be returned for a refund or exchange, offering flexibility and assurance in purchasing decisions.

Advanced cooling technology - regulates temperature for uninterrupted sleep

Advanced cooling technology ensures the surface remains comfortable throughout the night to reduce the likelihood of overheating. This feature aids in maintaining a consistent sleeping environment, contributing to better rest and relaxation.

Made locally in the UK - British craftsmanship at its finest

Nearby factories mean the frame and upholstery spend less time in transit before reaching the retailer, and can leave fewer handoffs for queries about parts or delivery. Origin alone doesn't prove sturdier hinges or neater fabric work.

Sumptuous pillow top - for an extra layer of cosy comfort

Stitched padding on top gives the surface a softer first touch. Because it sits above the support layers, deeper cushioning can feel warmer and won't suit people who prefer a flatter, firmer surface.

Responsive pocket springs - individually wrapped for targeted support

Separate coils dip under shoulders and hips without dragging the whole surface down, giving your body firmer hold where it presses hardest. Couples may feel movement when one sleeper turns sharply.

Adaptive micro springs - respond to even the tiniest movement

Enhanced flexibility ensures support tailored to even slight shifts in position, reducing potential pressure points. This feature promotes uninterrupted rest by accommodating movement efficiently.

After a few nights on this, it feels properly supportive with a nice bit of softness on top, and I am not waking up with the aches I used to. It also stays cooler than our old mattress, which has helped me sleep through more often. Not perfect, but it does the job well and feels like decent value.
