About the Sleepeezee Zenith 4500 Combination Mattress
Last checked
The Sleepeezee Zenith 4500 Combination Mattress is a modern, feature-led hybrid that leans into two big promises, cooler sleep and less partner disturbance, while keeping the overall feel safely in the medium camp. In store, it comes across as a properly plush, premium mattress rather than a thin topper-led upgrade, with a noticeable pillow top lift and a stable, reassuring base underneath. It feels like the sort of mattress that is trying to justify its price with genuine build, not just buzzwords, and for the most part it succeeds.
Construction and materials
This is a pocket sprung and memory foam design, finished with a plush pillow top that also uses micro springs. That combination matters. The pocket springs handle the structure and responsiveness, while the graphite-infused memory foam adds pressure relief and dampens movement. The Breeze 3D cover is positioned as the airflow piece of the puzzle, and there is reinforced, edge-to-edge support designed to keep the perimeter feeling usable rather than collapsible.
Importantly, the materials mix here suggests a mattress built to feel cushioned on top without turning vague underneath. The memory foam brings that slow, smoothing comfort, the micro springs stop the pillow top from feeling flat or purely squashy, and the pocket springs keep the main support more adaptive than a traditional open coil mattress.
Comfort, firmness and feel
Despite the medium comfort rating, the first impression is definitely plush, thanks to the pillow top. The surface has that inviting, slightly buoyant softness, then the mattress firms up as weight settles in. It does not feel like a hard, board-like medium, it feels like a comfortable medium designed for people who want a bit of luxury at the top but still need their spine kept in check.
The graphite memory foam contributes a gentle contour rather than an overly deep, stuck-in-the-mud sink. That is a positive for most shoppers looking at hybrids, as it gives pressure relief without making the bed feel slow or awkward to move around on.
Support and pressure relief
Support is where the Zenith 4500 makes its case. The pocket springs adjust under the body, and the memory foam helps spread load around common pressure points. The overall effect is a mattress that feels supportive in a calm, controlled way, not a springy trampoline and not a saggy foam block either. For anyone dealing with aches, especially around the lower back, the structure feels like it is doing the heavy lifting, while the comfort layers stop it feeling punishing.
That said, this is still a medium, comfort-first mattress. Back sleepers who like a very taut, held-up sensation may find it slightly too forgiving on top, particularly if they are used to a firmer, more traditional feel.
Motion isolation
This is one of the Zenith 4500's strongest aspects. The memory foam does a convincing job of absorbing movement, and the pocket springs reduce the ripple you get on more basic sprung mattresses. In practice, it feels settled and composed when weight shifts, which is exactly what couples tend to want. Anyone who has been woken up by a restless partner will notice the difference compared with an older, bouncier mattress.
Temperature regulation
The cooling story here is more believable than most because it is not relying on one gimmick. The Breeze cover adds breathability at the surface, the graphite memory foam is used specifically to reduce overheating, and the pocket spring core naturally allows more airflow than a dense all-foam build. In store it feels fresher than many pillow top hybrids, which can sometimes trap warmth. Warm sleepers should find this a more comfortable bet than a classic memory foam mattress, while still getting some of that contouring comfort.
Edge support
The reinforced, edge-to-edge support is another highlight. Sitting and lying near the edge feels secure, with less of that roll-off sensation that can make a mattress feel smaller than it is. This matters for couples sharing a bed, and for anyone who tends to perch on the side when getting dressed or getting in and out of bed. The Zenith feels properly usable right across the width.
Practicalities
It comes with a 100 Night Comfort Guarantee, which gives useful breathing space, particularly with a mattress that can feel different over a few weeks once the top layers settle. It is also made in the UK, and the overall finish looks and feels like a premium product rather than something built to hit a price point.
One practical note, the mattress is notably deep, so an extra deep fitted sheet is likely to be needed to get a secure fit. That is not a deal-breaker, but it is a real-world cost and hassle worth factoring in.
Who it suits
This mattress suits side sleepers particularly well. The pillow top and memory foam combine to take the sting out of shoulders and hips, while the pocket springs keep the body from dropping too far. It also works well for combination sleepers who switch positions, as it has enough cushioning to feel comfortable without feeling unstable. Couples are a clear target too, the reduced partner motion and dependable edges make the mattress feel calmer, larger, and easier to share.
Average-weight sleepers should find the medium tension broadly comfortable across positions, with the most universally pleasing results coming for those who spend a lot of the night on their side.
Who it does not suit
Dedicated back sleepers who want a firmer, flatter sleep surface may find the pillow top a touch too indulgent, even though the underlying support is strong. The overall feel prioritises comfort and pressure relief first, rather than that ultra-firm, on-top-of-the-bed posture that some back and stomach sleepers prefer.
It is also not the best match for anyone who dislikes the feel of memory foam altogether. While it is not overly sinky, the foam is still a key part of the sensation and the motion isolation.
What customers liked
Customer feedback repeatedly praises the supportive feel and the step up in comfort from older mattresses, with particular enthusiasm for the pillow top. Motion isolation is a consistent standout, with people noting that movement from a partner is much less noticeable. Edge support also gets strong approval, with sleepers describing a more secure feel right up to the perimeter. Cooling features are mentioned positively by warmer sleepers, with comments suggesting less overheating and fewer night wakings.
What customers disliked
No meaningful negatives are reflected in the provided customer feedback.
Final verdict
The Sleepeezee Zenith 4500 Combination Mattress feels like a confident, well-judged premium hybrid. It delivers a plush, welcoming top with the kind of underlying support that stops it becoming sloppy, and it backs that up with genuinely strong motion isolation and sturdy edges. The cooling elements feel like a practical advantage rather than pure marketing, especially for anyone who finds foam mattresses run hot.
It is an easy recommendation for side sleepers and couples who want a quieter, more stable sleep surface with a touch of luxury. Back sleepers who know they need a firmer, flatter feel should look at something firmer, because the pillow top comfort here is a defining part of the experience, for better and for worse.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- The supportive feel has noticeably improved sleep quality, with the pillow-top adding an extra layer of comfort compared with a standard build.
- Motion isolation is excellent, keeping you steady through the night so you’re far less likely to notice a partner moving.
- The medium tension strikes a pleasing balance between cushioning and stability, with particular appeal for side sleepers and those wanting gentler pressure relief.
- Cooling features and the breathable cover help warm sleepers drop off faster and wake less often, without the “hot memory foam” effect.
- Reinforced edge support makes the whole surface feel usable, removing that precarious roll-off sensation when you sleep near the sides.
Cons
- Back sleepers who prefer a very firm, flatter feel may find the medium tension a touch too forgiving around the hips and lower back.
- With its deep, pillow-top build, you may need to budget for extra-deep fitted sheets to get a neat, secure fit.
- If you’re used to an older, softer mattress, it can feel noticeably more substantial at first and may take a short settling-in period.

Ive been sleeping on this SZ mattress for a couple of weeks now and its pleasantly comfy without feeling like youre sinking into treacle. Its got a nice cushioned top and Im not getting jiggled about when my other half turns over, which is a small miracle at my age. It also seems to stay fairly cool through the night, and the edges feel sturdy when you sit on the side to put your socks on. Only thing is its quite a deep one, so my old fitted sheets have been having a bit of a struggle.
I expected a quality mattress from Sleepeezee because of their Royal Warrant, but the Zenith blew me away. What I noticed most when sleeping on it is the motion isolation; the memory foam holds you perfectly in place, so you don't even know your sleep partner's there! It's got great support right the way up to the edge, so you never feel as though you're going to slip off. I wasnt sure about the cooling elements of the mattress, but as a warm sleeper, Ive noticed its improved how quickly I fall asleep and how often I wake up in the night. I love that it's crafted in the UK and I also love how deep the mattress is – youll definitely need an extra deep fitted sheet! Overall the quality and support exceeded all my expectations.
