About the Dream Team Frome Pocket Wool Mattress
Last checked
Buyers considering the Dream Team Frome 4200 Pocket Wool Mattress are looking at a firm, 5 of 5 pocket-sprung build with a wool-led comfort package, rather than a soft, foamy sink-in mattress. The feel is deliberately taut. The 4200 spring count is generous on paper against conventional 1000-2000 pocket-sprung mattresses, and the practical benefit should be finer, more localised compression under the body than an open-coil unit can provide. British wool is the headline comfort material, helped by a recyclable synthetic spacer layer and a pocket-spring core; that is an honest natural-fibre route to breathability and resilience, not the deep pressure-moulding feel associated with memory-foam hybrids. Wool tends to buffer temperature and wick moisture while keeping the surface springy, so the Frome’s comfort is more “supported and cushioned” than plush. The double-sided design is the standout structural choice, because flippable mattresses are less common than single-sided pillow-tops in this part of the market and usually give the fillings a better chance of settling evenly over time. The trade-off is physical effort.
Back sleepers are the clearest match, especially those who want a level, braced surface that keeps the hips from dropping too far into the mattress. Sleep quality is the strongest repeated praise point: the support is repeatedly linked with fewer aches, less tossing and a more settled night, and the wool specification lines up with comments about feeling cosy without the heat build-up some gel or foam mattresses create. Side sleepers with pronounced shoulders or hips need more caution, because the firm tension leaves less room for those pressure points to sink; one positive owner solved that by adding a wool topper, which is a useful clue rather than a universal fix. Criticism centres on the same firmness becoming too functional for some tastes, with lower-scoring feedback mentioning a lack of cushioned new-bed give, occasional spring awareness and morning distortion that settles back later. Turning it is the recurring nuisance. The weight becomes especially relevant in king size, where regular flipping can become a two-person job despite the side handles. Couples should get better isolation than from traditional sprung mattresses, thanks to the pocketed unit, but this is still a buoyant sprung bed rather than a dead-still foam slab. For back and stomach sleepers wanting firm wool-topped support, this is the right match. For curvier side sleepers chasing deeper shoulder and hip relief, look at medium-tension pillow-top hybrids or a higher pressure-relief tier instead.

Firm comfort support rating - feels solid and supportive
A firm comfort support rating indicates a mattress that provides a robust sleep surface, offering substantial support for the spine and pressure points. This level of firmness is particularly well-suited for individuals who prefer a stable and supportive sleeping area, often helpful for those with back pain or those who sleep on their stomach or back.
100 Night Comfort Guarantee - gives you peace of mind when you buy
A 100 Night Comfort Guarantee allows for a trial period where the product can be tested in your own home environment to see if it meets personal comfort standards. If it doesn't meet your expectations, it can be returned for a refund or exchange, offering flexibility and assurance in purchasing decisions.
Advanced cooling technology - regulates temperature for uninterrupted sleep
Advanced cooling technology ensures the surface remains comfortable throughout the night to reduce the likelihood of overheating. This feature aids in maintaining a consistent sleeping environment, contributing to better rest and relaxation.
Made locally in the UK - British craftsmanship at its finest
Nearby factories mean the frame and upholstery spend less time in transit before reaching the retailer, and can leave fewer handoffs for queries about parts or delivery. Origin alone doesn't prove sturdier hinges or neater fabric work.
Double-sided design - flip regularly to keep your mattress fresh
Flipping the mattress regularly helps maintain its shape and prolongs its lifespan, ensuring consistent comfort. This feature also assists in distributing wear evenly, which can lead to a more restful sleep experience over time.
Eco-friendly natural fillings - for sustainable comfort from nature
Natural fillings crafted from eco-friendly materials offer sustainable and environmentally conscious comfort. These fillings typically allow for better temperature regulation, providing a balanced sleep environment.
Responsive pocket springs - individually wrapped for targeted support
Separate coils dip under shoulders and hips without dragging the whole surface down, giving your body firmer hold where it presses hardest. Couples may feel movement when one sleeper turns sharply.
Breathable materials - enhances airflow for cooler sleep
Breathable materials allow for increased airflow, aiding in temperature regulation during sleep. This can result in a cooler, more comfortable sleeping experience.

Feels firm but comfy and doesnt get too hot at night, though it took longer than I expected to turn up.
Firm without being rock hard, sleeps nicely cool, and feels well made overall, though the delivery took longer than expected.
Extremely comfortable and supportive mattress . Highly recommend always get a great night sleep, its very supportive and helps regulate temperature while still getting the cozy feeling. A massive improvement compared to to my last mattress. Would highly recommend!
Like all new beds this will need time to settle in with but I'm getting a better nights sleep already
Great comfy mattress, nice and firm with enough give for comfort
Lovely, supportive mattress, that is super comfortable.. The cover is super soft, and it is easy to turn on the bed
Exellent service, staff very welcoming and helpfull,i have purchased from dreams for years as have always found them to be a full allround quality company to deal with.
This mattress is ok but nothing special for the price Id expect more. You can feel the springs which isnt a good sign and its not very supportive. Baring in mind I had a soft mattress before and it held me better at night. You dont get that ahhh sinking into a new bed feeling either.
