About the Sleepeezee Regency Kew 2800 Pocket Sprung Mattress
Last checked
Firm back support is the main point of the Sleepeezee Regency Kew 2800 Pocket Sprung Mattress, rated firm, 5 of 5, and paired with a pocket-sprung core plus extra mini-spring layers near the comfort surface. A 2800-spring headline on this type of build is best read as a combined spring count, with the micro springs adding surface responsiveness rather than turning the main support unit into a luxury high-count pocket core; compared with a standard 1000-pocket mattress, the upgrade is more about lively contouring and pressure spread than deep, slow cushioning. The double-sided build is the useful detail. Being able to flip as well as rotate gives the fillings a better chance of recovering than on single-sided pillowtop designs, although it also means the mattress will need proper handling because this is described by buyers as very heavy. Bamboo appears in both the fillings and the blend cover, which is an honest material choice for breathability and freshness rather than a guarantee of cold sleep. The firm springing should keep the pelvis lifted for back sleepers, while the micro springs stop the surface feeling completely board-like, but this is still a supportive mattress first and a plush one second.
Bamboo fillings, pocket springs and reinforced edges point towards a breathable, responsive mattress for people who dislike soft beds but still want some surface give. Positive reviews repeatedly describe quick comfort from the first night, improved lower-back comfort and a supported feel without the dead, flat sensation of a very hard orthopaedic mattress, which lines up with the firm pocket-and-micro-spring construction. Edge feedback is less reassuring. One recent account describes soft sides and a tendency to roll out, contradicting the edge-support claim, while lower-scoring and longer accounts flag hip pain, early sagging or softening, and sizing shortfalls that left visible gaps in bed frames. The firmness label also looks less settled in real bedrooms than on the spec sheet: several people experience it as medium-firm or bouncy after use, while one low-scoring account found it too firm from the first night, so side sleepers, lighter builds and hourglass figures may still struggle at the shoulder and hip. Back sleepers and some stomach sleepers are the clearer match, especially where lower-back support matters more than deep sinkage, and the breathable bamboo blend should suit those who run warm but do not need active cooling. Couples get the benefit of pocketed response, though the reported bounce and mixed edge stability make it less convincing for partners with very different body weights. For dedicated back sleepers wanting firm support with a fresher-feeling cover, this is the right call. For side sleepers needing reliable pressure relief or couples prioritising steadier edges, look at a softer pocket-sprung hybrid or the £700+ pressure-relief tier instead.

Feels properly supportive and nicely firm, and Ive been sleeping straighter than I have in ages. It doesnt get too warm at night and the edges hold up well when Im perched on the side with my morning tea. Its not the squishiest thing if you like to sink in, but for me its comfortable and seems well made. Only niggle was the delivery took longer than promised, which had me tutting at the window.
A good night's rest is guaranteed with this one– it offers exceptional support and maintains cool temperature throughout. Plus, it's handmade quality and double-sided design ensures it will last.
Very comfortable mattress delivery was seamless - the only thing I notice is that you kind of roll out of bed the edges are very soft. It is described as a firm mattress but I would say it is medium firm and is quite bouncy.
Love love love this mattress. Although on the pricier side, it was worth every penny. I do not like overly soft beds but equally not ones that feel like sleeping on the floor. This mattress offers great support and comfort. I suffer with lower back pain and this mattress really helps ease the aches and pains, whilst allowing for a great night sleep. It is a super heavy mattress (great quality). Investing in a good quality mattress will do wonders! So happy with the purchase.
Great service from Dreams helped us to select a mattress to suit our needs. It has good support but also comfort. Well worth the expense.
Brilliant mattress. Super comfortable. Not rock hard but firm enough. Wondered customer service from Dan at Dreams Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.
We were looking to upgrade to a super king and went to Dreams to take advantage of their unique mattress fitting technology. The staff could not have been more helpful and professional, and we settled on this model, with new frame. Installation was also professional and pleasant, and we have been enjoying greater comfort and sleep ever since.
6 weeks in with this firm mattress and whilst comfort is "okay", disappointing it has already sunk on each side despite fortnightly flipping. Didnt expect this for the money on a pocket sprung non memory foam mattress.
Very good quality, built to last. Very comfortable and Firm as selected.
This opulent handcrafted mattress featuring an impressive 2800 responsive pocket springs it offers unparalleled support and minimizes motion transfer for a serene sleep experience. The antibacterial bamboo viscose cover not only provides a lavishly soft surface but also ensures a hygienic sleep environment. The naturally breathable bamboo comfort layer enhances airflow, keeping you cool and comfortable throughout the night. A layer of micro pocket springs delivers targeted support, adding to the mattresss exceptional comfort. The double-sided design extends the mattresss durability, ensuring it remains a long-lasting investment. Indulge in the ultimate luxury with this exquisite mattress, designed to provide a truly regal sleep experience.
Pleased we did the instore matress consultation process. Very happy with the purchase.
Two weeks in to my new matress and the difference its made is unbelievable. My sleep is so much better, deeper and longer. I have gone for the 4 star rating based on the fact that although its an improvement and better than my old matress i still need more time to make adjustments to put the matress through a thorough workout. But for now Dreams you've delivered!
Lovely and firm. I have scoliosis so I need a good medium firm bed and this is it. It provides enough support to be comfortable but not so much that it hurts. Very much as described. Have had a lovely sleep every night since and well worth the money. I know it is slightly more than some mattresses but it is worth it also it can be flipped and turned for even wear which is perfect for me. Great quality and well made.
Seems like a good mattress but I'm still getting hip pain, which was reason for new mattress.
Amazing mattress, had the best sleep every night since purchasing.
Very comfortable found it better than memory foam and ones with toppers built in
Brilliant night sleep, look forward to going to bed
We've slept well on the mattress so that is the important thing. It will be difficult to turn over as it is quite heavy. Also the mattress is quite thick so we will have to buy new sheets.
Very comfortable mattress, 1 star off due to the need to flip and turn the mattress so often, I don't think a lot of people would be able to lift and flip/turn it as it is so heavy.
We are getting a great sleep now with our mattress the best buy ever
