About the Dream Team Gold Falmouth 8000 Pocket Wool Mattress
Last checked
A 34cm depth and 6,846 springs in a double put the Dream Team Gold Falmouth in the deeper, more elaborate end of the pocket-sprung category, with the headline count boosted by both the main pocket-spring core and contouring micro springs rather than one single support unit. That is generous by category standards. Compared with simpler 1000-2000 pocket-sprung mattresses, this build should feel more graduated under load: the smaller springs can compress around shoulders and hips, while the larger springs underneath do the steadier alignment work. The official feel is soft-medium, and the materials support that brief: wool, silk and mohair are there for springy cushioning and humidity control rather than the slow, sinking hug of memory foam. The comfort spec is unusually natural for the broad mid-to-premium high-street mattress tier, where polyester pads and foam often do more of the filling work; here, the value is in breathable upholstery and a thick, traditionally cushioned surface. The practical reality is still not a floppy mattress, because micro springs add lift as well as softness, so the Falmouth should read as plush on top with a responsive push-back underneath rather than deep, marshmallow-like softness.
Side sleepers are the clearest match, especially those who want pressure relief at the shoulder without losing the springy ease needed for turning over. Sleep quality is a repeated praise point, with comfort, support and the thick topper-like surface coming up more often than any single technical feature; the natural wool, silk and mohair layers also line up with the feedback that the mattress feels breathable and not clammy, rather than hot and foam-heavy. The price still draws hesitation. Another recurring note is bounce: it is described as comfortable and helpful for movement, but couples expecting the deadened feel of memory-foam hybrids may find this livelier than the motion-isolation wording suggests, even though pocket springs should reduce the worst partner disturbance. The soft-medium label also needs a caution, because lived experience skews closer to cushioned medium, with one of the more critical comments calling it medium-firm; that is not a fault if the aim is supported side sleeping, but very light sleepers seeking a genuinely soft surface should not read this as ultra-plush. Average-build side and combination sleepers get the most convincing fit, while heavier front sleepers or anyone wanting a flatter, firmer support plane would be better served by a firmer orthopaedic pocket-sprung model. Best for side sleepers wanting natural fillings and plush support. Less good for foam-like motion isolation or a truly soft feel, who would do better with a memory-foam hybrid or a softer premium pocket-sprung tier.

100 Night Comfort Guarantee - gives you peace of mind when you buy
A 100 Night Comfort Guarantee allows for a trial period where the product can be tested in your own home environment to see if it meets personal comfort standards. Medium to soft comfort - perfectly blends softness and support
Expect a gentler feel that reduces pressure on hips and shoulders, which can suit side sleeping or anyone who dislikes a firm surface. It may let heavier bodies sink further, so stomach sleepers or those needing strong back support could find it lacks stability.

Been sleeping on this for a couple of weeks and it feels nicely supportive without being hard, with a comfortable top layer that does not get too warm. It has a bit of spring to it, so turning over is easy and I am not waking up stiff in the morning. Pricey, but it seems well made and I would say it is a solid buy if you like a medium-firm feel.
Smart, well-made mattress with a supportive medium-firm feel and a nice cushioned top without that sinking sensation. It stays pleasantly cool through the night and doesnt seem to transfer much movement when someone turns over. Pricey, but it feels like it should hold its shape and do the job for years.
First decent nights sleep we've had in 5yrs after buying a top rated Harrison bed which turned out to be a disaster.
The natural blend of wool, silk, and mohair creates a mattress that feels both luxurious and breathable, which supports in temperature regulation. The pocket and micro springs offer excellent support and adapt to movement without disturbing your partner, a game-changer for uninterrupted sleep. The box top design adds a plush, cosy feel that completely cushions the hand-tufted surface, so you wont feel the tufts at all! It offers the perfect balance of softness and support, while the traditional craftsmanship ensures lasting durability.
Great mattress, very thick and comfortable, has a nice bounce.
Perfect mattress for a perfect sleep Im super impressed with this mattress & so happy I decided to purchase. 10/10 recommend
Ive been using this mattress for a while and now that I have accustomed to it, I am really impressed. It has helped me get a better sleep with the level of support it provides. The springs are very responsive and adapt quickly to movement so it doesnt disturb me too much throughout the night if I am changing positions.
Wow what a fantastic mattress, I was happy with my old mattress until I started sleeping on the new Dreams Falmouth and I realised my sleep wasnt what it should have been. Ive slept fantastically since my new mattress arrived. I really cant recommend it enough - great sleep, great product
Changed my life! This is honestly the best bed Ive ever slept on. Its built in mattress topper adds an extra layer of luxury.
Seemed quite alot to spend on a mattress, but then on reflection they last years.......and we do spend a fair few hours laying down on it.....Totally understated comfort, its great!.....sometimes a shame to get up!
Best nights sleep in years, super comfortable and supportive mattress.
Extremely comfortable and right from the first night. Usually you have to get used to a new bed but this was spot on.
Right from the start we were given amazing advice on the best bed for us. Stephen was extremely friendly and helpful. Our choice of mattess has turned out to be perfect. Already I can feel my aches and pains are considerably less and we are both sleeping better too. I would thoroughly recommend getting properly assessed for the best matress.
Beautifully finished Mattress which offers full support and huge levels of comfort.
Ive been sleeping on this mattress for a few weeks now, and the improvement in my sleep quality was noticeable from the very first night. As a side sleeper, it offers the perfect level of comfort the soft yet supportive feel makes lying on my side incredibly comfortable without any pressure points. One of my favourite features is the luxurious mattress cover, which includes silk woven into the fabric. It feels wonderfully soft and breathable, adding a genuine premium touch. Combined with the natural wool layers, the mattress stays comfortably cool throughout the night while still feeling cosy during colder weather. Overall, this mattress strikes the perfect balance between comfort, support, and luxury. If youre looking for a premium mattress made with natural materials and a silk-enhanced cover that feels indulgent every night, Id highly recommend it.
