Sealy is a mattress company that’s been around since 1859. The business started in 1856 as the Brooklyn Iron Furnace and in 1858 the company’s name was changed to Sealy & French. When the company’s founder, Mary French, gave a bed to the widow of an iron mill worker, it caught the eye of a department store owner. He offered to sell the beds in a 5 story department store. The rest is history.

Today, Sealy is one of the most famous mattress companies in the world. If you’ve ever slept on one of their mattresses, you know they’re really comfortable.
