About the Tamara Bed Frame
Last checked
The Tamara Bed Frame reads as a low, standard bedstead with a padded headboard, and the evidence around it points to a simple, lightweight frame rather than a storage-led build. Its low stance is the defining feature. Compared with ottoman bed frames, this is a leaner construction class: fewer moving parts and easier day-one assembly, but no lift-up storage doing the work of a chunky base and no extra height created by a storage platform. That is credible for a straightforward child, teenager or spare-room frame, where the headboard comfort and visual softness matter more than engineering weight. Assembly is repeatedly described as easy, and the frame is light enough to handle during build, which is useful in smaller rooms. The padded headboard is a genuine practical plus, not just decoration, with one longer comment noting that it is comfortable enough for sitting up against. The caution is structural rather than cosmetic: the frame may be strong enough for normal sleeping use, but it should be lifted rather than dragged once dressed, as movement with the mattress on can make the feet and frame feel vulnerable.
Small bedrooms, children’s rooms and lower-access beds are where the Tamara lands best, especially when the aim is a neat frame that does not dominate the floor plan. Praise tends to cluster around the same points: it looks good, fits compact rooms well, is simple to assemble and feels comfortable once paired with the right mattress. The low height splits opinion sharply. For one user with arthritis it made getting into bed easier, while several dissatisfied buyers felt the bed sat much lower than the pictures had led them to expect; adding a second mattress to compensate is a sign that the height issue is not just cosmetic. Stability feedback is mixed rather than uniformly poor, with recent comments calling it sturdy, but the longer criticism about not moving it fully loaded is worth taking seriously because lightweight frames often feel less planted than heavier upholstered or ottoman builds. One low score appears to judge mattress comfort rather than the frame itself, so the backache and sinking complaint is better treated as a pairing problem unless the slat base is also under strain. The Tamara suits a smaller room, a child or teenager, or someone who actively wants a lower bed with a padded headboard; shoppers expecting under-bed storage, a taller hotel-style stance or a frame that can be pulled around fully made up should move toward an ottoman or higher platform bed with stated height dimensions.

very sturdy and very comfortable very happy with this purchase
Brilliant bed, nice and comfy, bed frame nice and low for me being able to get into easily as I have arthritis
Fantastic bed easy build and light weight .my daughter loves it.
Excellent buy for my 2.5 year old that refuses to go in single beds!
Great size bed for my sons small bedroom, we ordered a small double for a growing teen, he loves it and easy to assemble.
Stunning bed and very easy to put together. A little concerned that there is no middle support bar as I have had with previous beds this style, especially with it being a king but having faith that the metal is good quality and won't bend!
Great bed, excellent quality. Good price and bedside table is lovely too. Would definitely recommend
Beautiful bed for my daughter. So easy to assemble. Never purchased from Henson for beds before but I will 100% purchase from here again. Such a cheap price for a gorgeous bed.
It's a nice bed but definitely not the colour in the picture. The bed I've received is about 5 shades darker.
Lovely bed. Fits well in the bedroom space. If you like high up beds then forget this as it is quite low. Which was fine for my son.
Absolutely love my new Tamara Bed Frame. The build quality feels solid and premium, with no wobble or creaks at all. Assembly was straightforward, the finish looks even better in person, and the design gives the whole bedroom a cleaner, more modern feel. It's sturdy, comfortable, and feels like it'll last for years. Genuinely impressed and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, reliable bed frame.
Ordered this bed for my sons new room. Its perfect, he loves it
Very good delivery, were quick and helped take to my room. very easy to put together.
Super easy to put together literally 10 min . Lovely bed very happy xx
I would recommend this bed and great bed and sleep well
Gorgeous bed, got at a great price too! Slightly darker than the pictures. Feels really sturdy and good quality.
I bought a king size bed frame is decent but the mattress seems like it doesn't fit seems like to much of a gap at end of the bed maybe me being pickie i don't know
This bed frame looks really nice and feels comfortable and my teenage son absolutely loves it. The headboard has enough padding to provide comfort sitting up. They only. Reason why I'm getting it four stars is because it doesn't feel very steady; it is strong enough to sleep in and move around in, but if you try to move the bed with the mattress in it, it needs to be at least two people because all the feet need to be lifted from the floor. I don't think it would be would be strong enough to pull even just a couple of feet along in the bedroom it feels like it would bend too much… other than its a perfect bed and that issue is something that can be easily made right by just asking someone to help you lift the bed if it needs moving a bit!
Looks great and very comfortable. Just a bit on the low side for me.
Good bed for the price, looks nice. It is quite low but not really an issue for me.
