About the Hi TV Bed Frame - Voice Activated

Last checked

The powered TV lift is the real product here. Compared with an ordinary upholstered bed frame, the Hi TV Bed Frame is a more complicated build because the foot-end housing, rising bracket, wiring route and voice module all have to work cleanly as part of the furniture, not as add-ons. That is unusual beside standard bed frames. The spec emphasis is also clear: value is being spent on hidden screen storage and voice control rather than on the visible construction details that normally separate basic frames from stronger mid-tier builds, such as timber grade, slat format or drawer capacity. In real bedrooms, praise clusters around the tidy look and the space saved by not needing a wall-mounted television, chest-top screen or separate TV stand. Assembly is described as manageable, which is a useful signal for a powered bed, and the frame itself is repeatedly seen as smart, comfortable with an existing mattress and less bulky than some buyers feared. Hidden wires are a genuine strength, because they support the whole point of the design rather than acting as a cosmetic extra.

Voice activation carries the highest risk. The repeated failure pattern is not about upholstery or comfort; it centres on the TV function, with the voice command often becoming unresponsive, the lift needing to be switched off at the wall, and buttons or the rising mechanism failing in the poorer experiences. That cuts against the voice-activated pitch. The TV itself also attracts criticism for slow behaviour and connectivity niggles, while one more detailed comparison with other TV beds points to a wobbly-feeling bracket and no proper compartment for a receiver or games console. For a bedroom short on floor space, the concept still has appeal: the screen disappears, the cables stay hidden, and the frame gives a cleaner visual register than a bed plus media unit. It works best for someone who wants an occasional bedroom TV in a neat upholstered package and is comfortable treating the technology as a convenience rather than the whole reason to buy. Anyone expecting dependable daily voice control, frequent lift use or integrated storage for consoles should move toward a simpler manual-control TV bed or a higher-spec powered TV-bed tier with stronger mechanism feedback.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Owners appreciate the hidden wiring, which keeps the setup tidy and reduces bulk.
  • Buyers find the assembly straightforward, making setup quick and easy.
  • Recent reviews praise the voice activation when speaking clearly, enhancing its functionality.
  • Users enjoy the bed's space-saving design, allowing for TV placement without wall mounts.

Cons

  • Several owners report the voice activation fails frequently, needing manual intervention to operate.
  • Common complaints mention the TV having serious connectivity issues, often requiring factory resets.
  • Buyers highlight the lack of storage space for additional devices like receivers or game consoles.
  • A few reviews note instability in the TV bracket, making it difficult to use safely.

The bed itself is lovely, really nicely made, looks expensive. The problem I'm having is the voice activated part of it. It's worked about 4 times since I've had it

The bed chooses when it want to work, the voice recognition is annoyingly temperamental, the buttons work for a day then you have to constantly unplug it and plug it back in and sometimes that doesn't work either. The bed however is very comfortable and less squeaky than our old metal frame

Great if you don't have space for a tv unit or place to mount tv on a wall. I find the voice controls and buttons quiet temperamental. I also find the bed itself over priced as the slats are very thin. Hoping the bed lasts a number of years for the price paid, however I don't have much hope.

Lovely bed if you don't have room for a TV on a wall/stand on top of drawers! Saves space and no issues with the technology parts! All wires are hidden and not too bulky which I was apprehensive about.

Great quality, bed looks lovely, really sturdy and well made. The matching bedside tables finish it off beautifully. Easy to assemble. Would suggest going for the 43in TV as it is a perfect size and a nice treat. Communication from Bensons was excellent and the delivery guys superb.

The bed looks good. assembly was quite easy but there are few defects in the design. As we already own two more tv beds so we can see the faults. The tv bracket is not good enough and quite wobbly and had to be very careful while taking tv up and down. Second biggest fault is that there is no compartment under the bed for any receiver or game console. Not sure whr to put it as under sidetables it doesnt work properly. for the price we paid it was not a bad buy.

Bed is really good, if you fit it right then you won't have issues! in relation to comments saying voice control doesn't work, if you speak clearly and don't mumble it works fine! I love it and it's the best bed I have had! The mattress I had is great and watching a film is amazing!
