About the Staples and Co Renew Eco Latex Pocket 2300 Mattress
Last checked
Back sleepers who like a braced surface are the obvious audience for the Staples and Co Renew Eco Latex Pocket 2300 Mattress, because this is a pocket-sprung latex model sold as firm, 5 of 5. This is a deliberately firm build. A 2300-pocket unit is generous beside basic 1000-pocket pocket-sprung mattresses, giving the spring bed more individual points of response under the body rather than the broad, hammock-like pushback of cheaper open-coil designs. The important qualifier is that pocket count does not make this plush: the firm tension will still dominate the feel, so the springs are being used to hold posture and distribute load, not to create deep shoulder-and-hip sink. Latex adds a more buoyant comfort surface than slow-moulding memory foam, with quicker recovery when turning over and less of the “stuck in” sensation some foam hybrids create. For this build, the spec reads as support-first rather than indulgence-first; the generous part is the spring count, while the conservative part is the pressure-relief story for curvier side sleepers. “Eco” and “renew” language may help position it, but the practical buying call is simpler: this is a firm pocket mattress with a resilient latex top, aimed more at alignment than cushioning.
Dedicated back sleepers are the safest match, especially those who find medium mattresses saggy through the lower back and want a surface that keeps the pelvis lifted. Praise clusters around solid construction, a very firm feel and improved sleep, which fits the spec: latex gives the top a springy response, while the pocket unit gives support that feels more substantial than entry-level sprung mattresses. Heat is the main caveat here. Latex is often chosen as a more breathable alternative to dense memory foam, yet lived feedback leans warmer than that reputation suggests, with overheating and night sweat mentioned more than once; a lingering new-mattress smell also appears in recent feedback, though less consistently. Comfort is more divided than the high scores alone suggest, because one repeated theme is excellent support for people who wanted a very firm mattress, while the lower ratings describe the surface as uncomfortable enough to need a topper or as too warm for regular sleep. Rotation is another practical snag for anyone with arthritis, reduced strength or no help at home, because a supportive pocket-and-latex mattress can be awkward to manage. It lands well for committed back sleepers and some front sleepers who prioritise firmness; side sleepers with pronounced hips and shoulders, plus warm sleepers already prone to sweating, are better matched to a medium-firm pocket-sprung mattress or a cooler natural-fibre comfort layer with more pressure relief.

Specifications
Manufacturer specifications without the jargon, easy to scan and compare.
With 2300 Springs, including 1500 traditional pocket springs and 800 nano springs, the Staples and Co Renew Eco Latex Pocket 2300 Mattress has been designed to give you three-dimensional support that completely mirrors your body movement for unrivalled comfort and pressure relief.
Individual coils compress one by one, reducing roll-together as you change position. A higher spring count doesn't guarantee a cooler or plusher bed, since the comfort layers above the coils can dominate the first impression.
2300 pocket springs - for superior individual comfort
Separate fabric-wrapped coils compress on their own, reducing roll-together when positions change. Very light sleepers may find the surface firmer than expected, while regular turning may be required once settlement appears.
Pocket sprung mattress with latex
Individual coils compress separately while the latex layer springs back under you. Because latex can run warm and has a buoyant pushback, anyone after deep sink or a slow, moulded surface should look elsewhere.
10-year guarantee
Fault cover can pay for repair or replacement when a seam tears or spring unit fails, because you have a claim route after delivery. Stains, misuse and gradual softening are usually excluded.
Firmness rating - Firm
Denser upholstery pushes back against body weight, keeping your torso higher and reducing the dipped-in sensation during turns. Side sleepers or lighter people may notice joint pressure.
Tufted pillowtop - for added durability and comfort
Stitching pulls the cushioned top panel down into the mattress, giving the surface a steadier, less billowy feel under you. Very sensitive sleepers may feel the stitched dimples.
Posture Perimeter Plus System - for a full sleep surface
Edge rails brace the mattress sides, giving steadier support right to the border when you spread out or sit before getting up. A firmer rim can feel less forgiving at the edge.
Balance latex - Provides unparalleled body support
Latex under the cover compresses and rebounds quickly, helping shoulders and hips settle without feeling trapped in a hollow. Some sleepers may find the feel too buoyant.
Tencel™ anti-allergy fabric - For enhanced breathability
Lyocell fibres in the cover move moisture away from the skin, helping the surface stay less clammy on warm nights. It won't replace regular airing and clean bedding.
Mattress height: 34cm
Taller mattress sides raise the sleep surface and create more room for internal layers, so climbing in and out can take less effort. Deep sheets may be necessary.

Very comfy, can sleep better
Really comfortable but has a strange smell. I've been sleeping great on my new mattress, comfort-wise it's great, it just has a weird smell that I can't seem to get rid of no matter what I try. It's also quite a warm mattress, I do find I'm hotter at night.
Only had the mattress for a couple of weeks but so far so good. Nervous making the purchase but so pleased I did.
Didn't intend to spend as much, but with the finance option made it affordable and worth every penny. Had the best nights sleep since! Thank you.
Lovely bed although it seems to sink when j sleep in it. Don't know if it's supposed to do this
Worth the wait
An excellent quality mattress, very firm feel and good support which is what I wanted. Manufacturing quality is very good and reflective of the price. However, I would advise to keep an eye on the price as it seems to go up and down like a yo-yo! Is currently full price but price has been reduced by different amounts twice in the last 4 weeks.
