About the Glitch Kids Upholstered Bed Frame
Last checked
Families moving a child into a first grown-up-style bed are the obvious audience here, because the Glitch is a low-rise upholstered frame with a statement headboard rather than a storage bed, cabin bed or plain timber single. The main feature is the open circuit-style headboard with built-in colour-changing LED lighting controlled by remote, which puts the design firmly in the novelty kids’ frame class. That is a deliberate build choice, not a quiet background bed. For this category, the low height is the sensible part of the spec: compared with higher cabin beds or drawer-heavy children’s frames, it should feel less daunting for younger children and easier for parents making the bed, though it gives up the underbed storage those bulkier designs often provide. Dreams positions it for children aged 4+, and that age marker matters more than the gaming styling, because it tells the buyer this is aimed at primary-school children rather than teens who want a full adult-looking frame. The upholstery softens the look and makes the headboard feel more bedroom-friendly than a metal novelty frame, while the LEDs create the theatre. A remote-controlled light feature is generous for a children’s single bed frame, but the composition is still led by styling rather than heavy-duty engineering; without stated storage, weight capacity or slat detail, the safe read is a design-led kids’ bed rather than a specification-first frame for hard use.
Gaming-mad children are the clearest audience, especially where the bedroom is being refreshed around screens, LEDs and a more grown-up single bed. Praise repeatedly centres on the headboard lights: they are described as exciting without being too much, and the colour-changing effect is the part that turns the bed into a talking point rather than just another upholstered frame. Assembly also comes through well, with more than one buyer finding it straightforward, and the low-rise build lines up with the positive feedback around children moving comfortably into a bigger bed. The useful age band is younger than the styling first suggests. A 10-year-old was thrilled with it, but the design language is specific enough that taste may move on faster than it would with a plain wooden or neutral upholstered frame. The lower-rated feedback available is still favourable, so there is no repeated complaint about wobble, broken lighting or poor construction in this sample; the caution is narrower and comes from the product itself. It is a themed bed with electronics in the headboard, so families wanting hidden storage, a timeless guest-room look or a frame likely to follow a child deep into the teenage years may find the concept too short-lived. It lands well for a child’s gaming bedroom where visual impact matters and storage is handled elsewhere; for shared rooms, small bedrooms needing drawers, or older children wanting something calmer, consider a storage divan, cabin bed or plain upholstered single in the adult bed-frame tier.

Solid little single bed frame with a smart headboard design, and the LED lights are a nice touch without being over the top. Put together easily enough and it feels sturdy for everyday use.
Very chuffed with this purchase for my lad. The LED features are top-notch and the low-rise design made his transition to his first big bed a breeze.
The Glitch bed frame is perfect to add an element of 'gaming' into the bedroom. The LED open circuit detail on the headboard add theatre to the frame making it a talking point.
We are beyond delighted with the Glitch bed with LEDs, it took minutes to assemble and the effects with the lights are game changing! Our 10 yr old son was so thrilled at Xmas to have this in his bedroom glow up. Bought on sale with £100 off - it was definitely the best choice above anything similar online, and from a reputable company. I felt assured if any problems Dreams would help us out. However the bed is perfect so all we have is praise for price point, ease of delivery date choice, communication and quality of bed 5 thank you Dreams for this bed of dreams!
