About the Foley Upholstered TV Bed Frame

Last checked

Buyers considering the Foley are paying for an upholstered TV frame first, not a storage bed or a plain divan alternative. Its main structure is the velvet-finished, high wingback headboard paired with a foot end that houses an LG Smart TV, so the frame is doing more than holding a mattress: it has to accommodate electronics, lift hardware and cable routing as well as the usual base support. The foot end does real work. Standard solid slats are included, with sprung slats treated as an upgrade, and that is the conservative part of the build; at this end of the TV-bed market the screen is the headline feature, while dearer upholstered TV frames more often make a cushioned slat base feel less optional. Solid slats can give a flatter, steadier platform than sprung slats, but they also place more responsibility on the frame joints and fittings to stay quiet under movement. The tall winged headboard pushes the styling towards a cocooned hotel-bedroom look rather than a slimline guest-room frame, and the integrated screen means the footboard will visually and physically carry more weight than on a standard upholstered bedstead.

Style-led TV-in-bed buyers get the strongest case here, especially where a built-in screen, hidden cabling and a soft velvet surround matter more than under-bed access or minimalist proportions. Praise tends to focus on the room impact: the bed is repeatedly described as attractive, substantial and comfortable, with several positive experiences around careful assembly, a smooth TV lift and an LG picture that feels good enough for bedroom viewing rather than main-lounge performance. The TV is the dividing line. Lower-scoring feedback repeatedly questions the electronics and fittings, with complaints about remote connection, slow or noisy operation, a screen that does not rise cleanly, speaker vibration at higher volume and slats that feel too light or squeak when two people move. That conflicts with the polished TV-bed promise more than with the fabric styling, which remains the most consistently liked part of the product. Couples who are easily disturbed by creaks should take the solid-slat base seriously, because one poor fitting or flexible slat set can undermine the whole point of a relaxing media bed. The Foley suits bedrooms where a showier upholstered frame and integrated LG screen are the priority; those wanting silent hardware, stronger slat engineering and richer AV performance are better served by a higher-tier TV bed frame or a simpler upholstered bedstead with a separate television.

Lovely bed, firm matress takes a while to get used to as does anything new. The installers were great, professional and left no mess. The tv is perfect, ideal for a lazy sunday morning or a film just before bed. Mechinism works well and the tv is hidden when not in use, we went for the super king size and love it

Lovely bed frame, very sturdy and has a velvety upholstery which is padded and soft. Nobody likes stbbing a toe on a hard bed post! No risk of that with this bed frame. Ive had it for around a month now and it makes no noise at all.

Very sturdy bed frame and good TV. The remote for putting the tv up and down works well and fabric feels and looks good. Plug sockets required for tv/bed so needs to be close enough to wall socket.
