About the Deacon Sleepmotion Adjustable Upholstered Bed Frame
Last checked
A soft woven upholstered surround with a tall, buttoned headboard gives the Deacon Sleepmotion a very different brief from a plain metal adjustable base or a standard slatted bedstead. This is a style-led adjustable frame. The sensible reading of the spec is that the money is split between the motorised Sleepmotion mechanism and the upholstered bedroom furniture around it; compared with fixed upholstered bedsteads, that is a more complex build, but it also gives more scope for things to feel less solid if the surround and moving base do not behave as one unit. The fabric choice is on-tier for a decorative Dreams frame: warmer and more domestic than metal, less wipe-clean than faux leather, and aimed at bedrooms where the bed is meant to be seen rather than hidden under storage boxes. The high headboard and button detailing push it towards a hotel-style register without making it a sleigh bed or four-poster, so the visual weight sits mostly at the head end. Function varies by Sleepmotion version, with 200i, 400i and 200u&i options offering different mixes of back lift, foot lift, zero-gravity positioning and massage, so the variant matters more here than on a normal upholstered frame.
The Sleepmotion hardware is the functional centre, and the happiest feedback links it to better sleeping angles rather than simply a nicer-looking frame. Sleep quality is the repeated win: praise clusters around the zero-gravity position, easy adjustment of the head and foot sections, and the ability to reduce pillow-stacking, with one more detailed health-related comment tying the adjustable position to easier rest with back and pain issues. The mattress has to work with the movement. A rigid or unsuitable mattress can blunt the effect, and one complaint that the bed did not bend like the pictures suggests that the adjustable base and mattress pairing matters as much as the frame itself. Style also lands well, with the headboard and fabric finish repeatedly described as smart and comfortable, although one colour comment suggests the grey may read greener in a real room. The faults are more mechanical and logistical than cosmetic: criticism centres on the outer frame moving because it clips around rather than attaching like a fixed bedframe, delays or incomplete delivery of the electric Sleepmotion part, and the sheer weight of the base making assembly a two-person job with plenty of floor space. That means the polished upholstered look does not always deliver the planted feel expected from a conventional bedstead. It lands well for someone who wants an upholstered statement bed with adjustable head-and-foot positioning and accepts electric-bed complexity; a buyer needing a plain, rigid frame, quick logistics and no moving parts has a clearer route through fixed upholstered bedsteads or specialist electric divan packages.

Comfort and refined luxury in one package. The detailed quilt work on the high headboard brings an elegant touch while adjustable areas provide the comfort needed for a good night's rest.
Dont know about my bed dont know if its the mattress but mine dont bend over like the picture and the leg part its a good bed but mine seems different
I bought this bed during first lockdown April 2020. Absolutely love my bed! Everything I wanted & more. Quality & sturdy!
very good adjustable bed me & my wife we liked it but sadly I have to change to a different one because of a missing part of the bed.
This bed frame definitely looks better in your bedroom than it does in showroom. I absolutely love it and such good quality.
Great bed but very heavy, you will need at least 2 people to construct it!! But you wont be disappointed!!!!
Its a beautiful bed, just make sure you work out the correct height before you choose the leg height, so it is put together based your requirements. Once correct its lovely.
Had this for over half a year now we went for the 200i with out really looking into it wish we went for the 400i but still lovely to sleep in we waited almost 6 months for delivery and was refunded almost £500 for waiting so super bargain as we got 3 for 2 on the matching side tables and storage box ....as for the colour we opted for grey wouldn't say its grey more of a green, as we waited so long and the money we got off couldn't be bothered to send back and be without a bed again
The Deacon Sleepmotion adjustable bed is the most natural sleeping position I have ever encountered. I normally set the position at the zero gravity setting, but this can easily be tweaked by adjusting the head up or feet up or both at the touch of a button. I used to think these beds were only for older people, but I would recommend them to everyone. Over time my old bed seemed to accumulate pillows and by the time I changed to the Deacon sleepmotion I was up to 3 pillows, now with the angled head end I sleep with only one, which saves the endless struggle to get good sleeping position. Love it, wish I had purchased one earlier.
Absolutely gorgeous bed, frame and headboard. Beautiful design, so comfortable and wonderful to sleep in, pure luxury
Love my new dreams bed stylish comfy and super easy to assemble would definitely recommend
Ho-lee-sheeeeeeeeiiiiit. This is the best purchase of my entire adult life. I've never cheated out on beds, but this was a bit pricier than I'd usually go, but worth every penny. Make sure when assembling you have sufficient space, I.e. make sure the room is 100% empty and you definitely have 2 people, as the base is very heavy. But the sleep quality.. you literally feel like you're floating.
My partner wondered why I bought an adjustable bed given there was no apparent reason or compelling need. Now its seen as one of the best buys ever and she loves it. Highly recommend
Its the most comfortable bed Ive ever slept on ..beautiful bed
Excellent service. Very tidy during installation and wiped everything down afterwards which demonstrated superb care. The bed and mattress is very comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend buying from Dreams.
So far so good. The bed moves smoothly and quietly.
A great bed, comfortable and sturdy while still being stylish, my only problem is that it is not the colour as it looks online, came as a more petrol blue rather than the dark grey it shows.
Very very comfortable and classy bed, makes me feel like a queen. Also supports my back very well and has help reduce my lower back pain
Great bed and mattress very comfortable and getting better sleep. Looks great but has adjustment like a hospital bed so getting us ready for older age life! Should have bought this years ago.
