About the Dreams Bamboo Breathe 10.5 Tog Duvet
Last checked
For a buyer wanting an all-season duvet without the drag of a heavy quilt, the Dreams Bamboo Breathe is a 10.5 tog synthetic duvet with a bamboo-fabric cover and down-like polyester filling. Its lightness comes through more clearly in use than in the spec sheet. The fill is the conventional part of the build: polyester is common in washable, hypoallergenic duvets because it keeps cost and care demands lower than feather, down or wool. The bamboo cover is the more distinctive spec. A bamboo-faced cover on a polyester duvet is a useful upgrade for this construction class, because the breathability and smoother handle sit above a basic microfibre-covered synthetic duvet, even though the warmth still comes from man-made fibres rather than a natural temperature-buffering fill. At 10.5 tog it sits in honest all-season territory: warmer than a 4.5 tog summer duvet and less insulating than a 13.5 tog winter duvet. The claimed hypoallergenic, moisture-resistant cover-and-fill pairing also makes sense for households avoiding feather or down, although “moisture-resistant” should be read as comfort management rather than waterproofing. Washability is a practical win for allergy-conscious homes, but the care value depends on having a machine large enough for the chosen size.
For sleepers who dislike wrestling a bulky duvet into its cover, the clearest fit is someone who wants warmth without heavy winter-quilt drag. Customers repeatedly praise the lightness, softness and warmth, with several linking the bamboo cover to steadier temperature comfort, including use by hot sleepers and couples with different warmth preferences. Warmth is present, but bulk is restrained. Shape retention also comes through positively, with the filling not being widely criticised for clumping or flattening, a useful sign for a polyester duvet where cheaper versions can migrate into uneven pockets over time. Silky covers can misbehave inside cotton cases. The complaint signal is unusually weak in this sample, but one substantive note flags the smooth cover moving around inside a duvet cover, so anyone who hates internal slippage may prefer a squarer-stitched or grippier cotton-covered duvet. It also will not feel like a heavy hotel-style winter quilt, despite the plush description. If the aim is a light, washable all-season duvet with a soft bamboo cover, this works; if crisp winter heft or stronger cover-grip is the priority, a heavier 13.5 tog synthetic or boxed-construction natural-fill duvet makes more sense.

Lovely quality quilt more than happy with the warmth of the 10.5 tog and so light
I so much love this duvet, I bought the King size at first I thought it was too light but its definitely cozy, cool and very soft. I definitely recommend getting yourself this bamboo duvet from Dreams
The bamboo duvets are the best yet. They are so light yet very warm. Highly recommend them. No wrestling with heavier ones when changing the cover.
Here is a gamechanger! A superb all year round duvet with a bamboo cover that is breathable, thus allowing temperature regulation! As well as that, the duvet contains down-like polyester fillings so you get the luxury feeling you truly deserve! The duvet can be washed to aid longevity too! Whats not to love
Light quilt that keeps individual body temperature. Would definitely recommend.
Love this, very comfortable, heavy but feels light
We are very pleased with ours. Silky soft to touch, initially concerned by its light weight compared to goose & down however it keeps us lovely and warm. Well worth considering.
This duvet is wonderfully soft and cosy, but at the same time the smooth bamboo material regulates temperature and prevents overheating. Perfect for a hot sleeper or couples with different temperature preferences!
The Dreams bamboo pillow is super soft and feels similar to down, but is anti-allergen. It also has quite a silky texture to the touch. The 10 tog feels fairly light, but still keeps me warm on colder nights. The only potential downside is that because its so silky it can slide around a little in the duvet, but this is easily resolved by fluffing out the duvet. I havent washed it yet, but its definitely a plus that it can be machine washed! Id genuinely say this is one of the best duvets Ive ever used, and would happily repurchase in the future.
Soft and warm. A good size and doesnt clump up.
