Quality is really good and excellent design. I got the solid one and think the opening and closing of the ottoman is really smooth (I did go around a lot trying those and the pistons in this one is really good). Also, love that the bottom is split into 4, this is perfect for me as I like to clean below the bed. If it was a big squared frame that would be a problem and would trap dust.The 4 split bards can be easily removed as they are not too heavy.
