The TEMPUR Arc™ Adjustable Base with Wave Headboard is less a standalone decorative panel than a full powered bed system with a contemporary board attached to a split, moving base beneath it. This is a powered bed system first. Its design centre is the Wave headboard and the Arc disc platform: each side can be adjusted independently, while the plastic disc modules can be turned or repositioned to alter the feel of different zones beneath the mattress. That places it in a different construction class from ordinary strutted or floor-standing upholstered headboards, where the board is mainly decorative and the base does the same job every night. The headboard is not doing ordinary headboard work. The spec is unusually functional for a “headboard” listing, with under-bed lighting adding a hotel-style effect, but the look and mechanics are tied together rather than offering the flexibility of a bolt-on panel for an existing divan or slatted bedstead.
Couples who read, watch television or need head-and-foot elevation are the strongest match, provided they want the base as much as the Wave headboard. The comfort case is easy to see. Repeated praise centres on the supportive feel, solid construction and usefulness of the adjustable positions, especially for reading before sleep, watching television and using slower morning settings without flattening both sides of the bed. The split format also creates the main fault. Mattresses can drift apart on the disc surface, leaving a gap down the middle, and the lack of side retainers undercuts the promise that each sleeper simply gets independent control. Bedding is another weak point, with fitted sheets proving awkward, costly or prone to catching on the disc heads; one detailed experience also describes broken or bent disc pieces, making sheet changes sound more delicate than the premium positioning suggests. Height may also rule out shorter users, as access was a problem for at least one buyer. If the priority is powered lounging with independent adjustment and a modern integrated headboard, this works. If the priority is a seamless couples’ sleep surface or easy bedding compatibility, a fixed upholstered frame or a higher-spec adjustable base with stronger mattress retention makes more sense.

This adjustable base is a lovely bit of kit for reading or watching telly in bed, and the headboard looks smart without taking over the room. Its a touch high for my old knees, but once Im in, its properly comfortable and the gentle lighting is handy at night.
Impressed with the adjustability and comfort provided. Aesthetic design enhances the bedroom decor, and the under-bed lighting creates a cosy ambiance.
Excellent purchase. Pricey but well worth it. Minimal back/hip discomfort now. Only downside is, apparently Im so content in bed my wife says Im snoring more!!
In the first few weeks since this adjustable base & wave headboard was delivered we have begun to make frequent use of the various positions to help us with reading before sleep and on relaxed mornings. The motors seem sturdy and the ability to lift the head and/or feet is going to be invaluable.
Beautiful looking bed but I am 5 feet tall and its too high for me to get into had to get stairs built to get me up into it

The bed is very solidly constructed, fits together nicely and we were able to do it between ourselves with no issues. Everything was well packaged and delivered to our bedroom. Its heavy, so rather pleased about that. Our only complaint with the bed is the flower heads that act as springs on the base. These are extremely fragile! We had some breakages when the base was removed from the box, broken in transit. Once the mattress is in and bed made, watch the fitted sheets dont catch them!! We have had more breakages as a result, despite paying out for the official Tempur fitted sheets, at the hefty price they are!! The sheets get caught on the heads, then they either bend or sheer off completely. In order to save this from happening, we have had to cover the base to prevent this from happening! Not ideal and clearly a design fault. We have reported this issue to Dreams and Tempur, but had no response, which is extremely frustrating.
We have the adjustable bed which is great but have found the mattresses slide apart on the plastic discs leaving a void in the middle
