About the Staples and Co Queensbury Floorstanding Headboard

Last checked

In a bedroom scheme, the Queensbury is trying to act as part of the furniture rather than as a barely visible board behind the pillows. The defining construction detail is its floorstanding format, which usually gives a fuller, more built-in look than a lightweight strutted headboard and helps the board read as a deliberate backdrop rather than an afterthought. Floorstanding is the important structural call. For this product page the useful spec is narrow, but that one detail still matters: compared with basic divan strut boards, a floorstanding headboard sits in the more substantial, statement-led class, although it also asks for more clear wall width and more care around bedside furniture. The customer photographs are not available here, so the safest read comes from owner language rather than assumed styling: the repeated impression is plushness, visible stitching and a bedroom-centrepiece effect. Several buyers describe the finish as solid and good quality, with the stitched detail standing out rather than disappearing into the upholstery. That points to a decorative register above the plain rectangular budget board, not because of any claimed fabric specification, but because the feedback keeps returning to texture, support and the way it changes the room as soon as the door opens.

Buyers wanting a headboard to make a divan or ottoman base feel more finished are the clearest audience, especially where the room has enough breadth for a fuller floorstanding panel and enough clearance beside the bed. Praise clusters around three things: it looks more expensive than expected, feels supportive when sitting up, and makes the bed feel like a complete bedroom piece rather than a base with an add-on board. Scale is the main caveat. One of the more practical comments comes from a buyer with a large enough room who still warns that bedside drawers need measuring, and that is the point where the floorstanding spec stops being purely decorative and becomes a fitting issue. The same statement presence that wins compliments can crowd a tight arrangement if drawers, sockets or skirting positions leave little tolerance. Assembly feedback is reassuring where the headboard is paired with an ottoman base, with the finished set-up described as straightforward and sturdy, though the ottoman mechanism itself can feel stiff at first before easing with use. Upholstered and stitched boards also need more careful cleaning than timber or faux-leather styles, because dust and marks collect in seams and texture. For a larger bedroom needing a plush, supportive focal point, this is the right call. For tight rooms with close bedside storage, look at slimmer strutted headboards instead.

The headboard provides the look and statement I wanted for my bedroom. My room is more than big enough for this headboard, however I would suggest people double check sizes if they are using bedside drawers

I have never owned such an amazing bed as this. Appears really good quality, feels solid and looks stunning. The stitching is so beautiful!, clearly hand stitched! We went for the Ottoman and it's just great so, there is so much space! Initially it's a bit stiff to lift up but now seems so easy to lift up and down, I absolutely love this bed worth every penny!
