About the iGel NanoTech 3000i Zip and Link Mattress
Last checked
For a larger bedroom where access is awkward or partners want a shared bed with more separation, the iGel NanoTech 3000i Zip and Link Mattress is built around a hotel-style split format rather than a single slab. The zip-and-link element is the clearest practical spec here: two sections can be carried through tighter staircases and joined to create one larger surface, which is a genuine advantage over one-piece king and super-king mattresses when delivery routes are narrow. It is a practical access feature. It is not, however, the same thing as a fully seamless mattress; the centre join is part of the deal, even when the zip system is doing its job properly. The “3000i” and iGel NanoTech naming puts the product in the language of higher-support, cooler-feel hybrids, but without leaning on a full layer breakdown the honest call is to treat the cooling as a comfort promise rather than a guaranteed cold sleep surface. Firmness feedback centres on the firm option, with comments describing it as supportive once adjusted to rather than instantly soft or sink-in. That places it closer to a structured pocket-sprung or hybrid feel than to plush all-foam mattresses, especially for people who dislike waking in a dip.
The split construction and firmer support profile are where the strongest praise gathers: comfort, steady support and reduced partner disturbance come up repeatedly, and the zip function solved a real-world access problem for a larger bed. Buyers who share with a shift worker or restless partner give the motion isolation particular weight, which fits the divided build better than a one-piece open-coil mattress would. Side sleepers are not ruled out here, as comfort on the side is mentioned positively, but the firm feel appears to need a short settling-in period rather than offering instant cushioning. Temperature is the weaker promise. The iGel branding suggests a cooling emphasis, yet the lived experience is more moderate: temperature control is described as reasonable, while a recurring complaint is that the cooling effect falls short of expectation. Indentation resistance is a positive signal, with the surface not quickly showing a large hollow after use, reinforcing the appeal for anyone choosing a firmer mattress to avoid sagging. For couples wanting a supportive zip-and-link mattress with good partner isolation and easier access through stairs, this is the right call. For hot sleepers expecting a distinctly chilled surface, look at specialist breathable hybrids or the higher cooling-foam price tier instead.

Excellent mattress with just the right amount of support and not left with a large indentation after sleeping. Temperature control is reasonable.
We love this bed and after trying pretty much every one out there: Tempur, Eve, Simba etc this was the answer to our prayers. My partner works shifts and gets up early and waking me - now I don't feel a thing - the motion isolation is brilliant. We went for firm which on arrival i worried would be too firm but we soon got used to it and love the support. Liam was brilliant at listening to my requirements and finding us a perfect match. Brilliant service and delivery men were so lovely too. Couldn't recommend enough.
Very pleased with the new mattress Super comfortable I would recommend
Love this bed! Hip and shoulder pain much better after getting it.
Really comfortable mattress, soft yet supportive. Excellent service from Bensons too!
The bed is incredibly comfortable, supportive but gentle on the body. It is spacious and provide a good nights sleep. The zip function allowed us to have a bigger bed than our stairs allowed for.
Nice and comfy on my side, and my wife likes her side as well. Still not sure about the side-sleeping pillows, but they're comfortable enough :-)
Very comfortable, cool to the touch but moulds to your shape, it is very supportive of your low back.
It took me a while to get used to it but now it's is comfy. The cooling bit isn't as good as I thought though
