About the Silentnight SleepResponse™ Support 3600 Combination Mattress

Last checked

The main job here is balancing memory-foam cushioning with enough airflow to stop the surface feeling clammy. Silentnight rates it medium, 3 of 5, and the build backs that up: graphite-infused memory foam sits in a plush box top above a 3600 Mirapocket spring system, so the first feel is cushioned rather than board-like, while the springs do the heavier work of keeping the body lifted. It is still a foam-topped hybrid. A 3600-count zoned pocket unit is generous beside basic open-coil mattresses, although the comfort story is still mainly foam and cover technology rather than a more expensive mix of latex, wool or other breathable natural layers. The cooling is modest, not icy. Graphite in the foam and a CoolEase cover can help move warmth away, but a deep box top will still feel cosier than a lean pocket-sprung mattress with minimal padding. The single-sided design also points to convenience over traditional longevity, with rotation doing the maintenance work rather than flipping.

Side sleepers are the most obvious match because the medium feel gives hips and shoulders some room to settle without the whole mattress collapsing underneath. Average-weight sleepers get the broadest fit here, especially if they swap between side and back positions, while heavier back sleepers or anyone wanting a flatter, more braced posture may find the foam comfort layer a touch too yielding over time. Comfort feedback clusters around better back comfort, a supportive-but-giving feel and cooler nights than older foam beds, which broadly matches the spec: pocket springs handle lift, while the graphite foam softens pressure points. Cooler nights are reported, but not transformed. Practical gripes are more about the build than the comfort: the mattress is described as very deep, so sheet fit can be awkward, and the plush top means the edge compresses slightly when sitting, even if sleep-surface support is generally seen as steady. It lands well for warm side sleepers and average-weight couples wanting cushioned pressure relief with modest motion transfer; very firm-support seekers, heavier back sleepers and people who perch on the mattress edge every morning should aim for a firmer pocket-sprung build or a higher-tier hybrid with reinforced edging.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Owners highlight the CoolEase cover for effective temperature regulation during sleep.
  • Many find the Mirapocket® springs provide superior spinal alignment and support.
  • Users appreciate the plush box top design for added comfort and pressure relief.
  • Recent buyers report improved sleep quality and less overheating compared to previous mattresses.

Cons

  • Some reviewers note the mattress depth may require deeper fitted sheets.
  • A few users experienced initial firmness that took time to adjust to.
  • Couples reported slight motion transfer during movement, not as minimal as expected.
  • Several felt the edges were less supportive when sitting compared to the middle.

Got this SR mattress a few weeks back and its been a lovely change, with a nice medium feel and just enough give round my hips and shoulders without turning into a saggy mess. It feels a bit cooler than the old foam one I had, and Im not waking up quite so sticky. Edges are decent when you perch to put your socks on, though its still got that plush top so you sink a touch. Overall its comfortable, supportive enough, and Im sleeping better than I expected.

Im very happy with my new mattress, its made a big difference to my back, so comfortable! The support is great and the memory foam makes it feel cosy. One thing to know is it is a very deep mattress, even the delivery guys commented on how deep it is. Not a problem just something to bear in mind when it comes to sheets.
