About the eve pure memory mattress
Last checked
Side sleeping is the clearest design clue for the eve pure memory mattress: it is a memory-foam mattress rated medium, 3 of 5, so the emphasis is pressure relief rather than the lifted, buoyant feel of springs. That is a comfort-led build. Memory foam behaves slowly under load, taking heat and weight before it yields, which is why it can feel firmer in the first few minutes and then more shaped around shoulders, hips and the small of the back. In construction terms, a medium foam mattress is honest rather than ambitious; compared with pocket-sprung hybrids, it trades edge-to-edge bounce and independent spring response for close contouring and simpler motion damping. The absence of a spring description keeps the practical reading fairly plain: support comes from foam resistance and surface conformity, not from zoned metalwork or a separate pocket unit reacting to each sleeper. For average-weight side sleepers, that usually means less sharp pressure at the shoulder than a firmer orthopaedic mattress, while back sleepers get an even platform with some sink rather than a taut brace. The caveat is important because memory foam is temperature-sensitive: it may feel board-like when cold, then soften where body heat builds, so the labelled medium feel may not match the first impression on a winter evening.
Shared side-and-back use is where the feedback is most coherent, with happier accounts describing a firm-feeling mattress that settles into comfort overnight and sometimes eases minor back niggles once the foam has warmed. Buyers also praise shape retention and a balance of support and cushioning, which fits the memory-foam brief: less bounce, more cradling, and less partner disturbance than open-coil mattresses. The tension label needs treating cautiously. Although sold here as medium, several low-scoring and recent accounts describe it as very hard, with some waking with back pain or abandoning the mattress, so sensitive side sleepers, lighter people and anyone expecting a plush sink may find the real bedroom feel sterner than the rating suggests. A separate recurring irritation is the shiny cover surface, which has made fitted sheets slide, loosen or bunch even when deeper sheets or clips are used. Temperature feedback is mixed rather than alarming: one substantial account describes comfortable coolness, while another notes a comforting warmth, and both sit within normal memory-foam behaviour because the material softens with heat rather than ventilating like a pocket-sprung mattress with natural fillings. The eve suits average-weight side sleepers wanting a close, steady memory-foam feel; those prioritising a reliably softer surface, stronger back-sleeper lift or a grippier finish should look instead at softer memory-foam hybrids or the £700-plus pocket-sprung tier.

We have only slept on the mattress for 2 weeks but seems to be very comfortable. We both suffer minor back problems and this firm mattress so far seems good.
The mattress is very hard and I mean it's like lying on a table hard, hopefully we get used to it but right now it's difficult
Perfect for what we need it for (its in the Grandsons room and will be used occasionally)
So comfortable feels like sleeping on a cloud. Mattress moulds to my body whatever position I am laying in. Keeps cool and sleep so well waking up ready to face the day
Fantastic mattress which has given me the most comfortable night's sleep I have had in years. This 'Firm' mattress provides the exact level of support required for both of us. Despite the high price, I have no regrets purchasing this.
It's ow reet but I'm getting fed up with all the txt and email from you
Getting use to it. Deeper than the old one. Much more support
My first memory foam mattress and don't regret the decision. It is very comfortable and don't feel my partner moving during the night as our old spring mattress. It is very thick and can make your bed high depending on your bed frame Overall good mattress
Sublimely Comfortable Great Value over other branded memory phone mattresses
Great mattress . Very firm , just how my wife and I like it.
Great product and excellent staff from bensons for beds.
This is so so comfy and I have been sleeping so much better since we got this matress. My only little boggle would be the mattress depth seemed to inbetween sizes for bottom sheets so Immy bottom sheet is too big for the bed
Love my new mattress have had the best nights sleep in a long time. Highly recommend
Great mattress. Great night sleeps so far with no disturbance to my partner while I get up in the middle of the night
Sure, here's a sample single review you can consider adding for the Eve mattress on the Bensons for Beds site: Excellent comfort and support I bought the Eve mattress in single size for my guest room, and I'm really impressed! The firmness is just right - not too hard, not too soft - and it offers excellent support throughout the night.
The main reason I purchased this memory foam mattress is because it was a cooling mattress.. Having always been against these types of mattress because of the issues with heat, I haven't been disappointed at all, the firm mattress definitely keeps you cooler on hot summer nights!
Really comfortable, best mattress we've ever slept on.
Very comfortable mattress at last! No more sore back, neck etc!
It's a great mattress, but difficult to rotate without any handles.
Eve pure memory foam mattress. A sleeping revelation my old mattress had become too soft and after constant back pain I decided to go for the firm mattress. First thoughts were I'd made a mistake but after online 1 week no more back pain and a huge improvement in sleep so it's a thumbs up for me
