About the Erin Bunk Bed
Last checked
Integrated shelving is the Erin Bunk Bed’s defining construction idea, giving the frame a more furniture-like role than a plain stacked bed. The shelving is the standout feature. It turns the back of the bunk into a place for books, cuddly toys, a drink or a night light, which is why the design reads as a compact bedroom system rather than just a sleeping frame. For a children’s bunk, that storage-led layout is more useful than decorative detailing; compared with a basic metal bunk, it saves the separate bedside table that small shared rooms often cannot spare, but the extra panel work also means more parts, more weight and a longer build. Detailed ownership feedback describes six packages, heavy components and a two-person assembly taking much of a day, so the construction is substantial rather than quick-flatpack. There is a drawer version in circulation, but the drawer attracts weaker feedback than the main frame, with complaints about flimsy bases and poorer alignment. The main bed, once assembled, is repeatedly described as solid, sturdy and good-looking, which is a credible result for a panel-heavy bunk frame, though not one that suits frequent dismantling and rebuilding.
In a small shared children’s room, the Erin works because the bed and bedside storage occupy the same footprint, and one detailed example placed it in a roughly 2.5m-square room while still leaving space for wardrobes. Praise tends to centre on children using the shelves naturally: toys stay close, books have somewhere to live, and lights or drinks do not have to sit on the floor. Assembly is the recurring sting. Several low-scoring experiences describe misaligned holes, unlabelled or hard-to-identify parts and a build that runs closer to an all-day job than a simple evening task; where assembly support was expected, disappointment around having to build it independently sharpened the criticism. The ladder divides opinion less often, but one longer account noted the absence of hand holds, while another found the steps manageable for a young child and the top guard reassuring, with the usual caution that younger children may need the lower bunk until they are old enough for the top. The repeated positive is strength after the work is done, not ease before it is finished. It suits families wanting a sturdy children’s bunk with toy-and-book storage for a compact room; households expecting a quick self-build, a frame to move between rooms, or a robust under-bed drawer should consider simpler bunk-bed construction or a higher-priced storage bunk tier.

Solidly built and terrific for space saving. Nice feature with the added shelving for toys and books.

Fantastic sturdy bed, delivered and assembled with no problems boy loves it very happy, thank you 100% recommend.
Lovely sturdy bed, with ample shelving to display all their precious items. My only gripe is you cant fit storage boxes underneath
Great sturdy beds - assembly by the team was fantastic
Great bunk bed with great design. 2 kids absolutely love it.
My son is very happy with this bed. He enjoy his new room and he manage to sleep by himself.
Great bunk bed for two daughters sharing a room. Lots of shelf space and a nice sized drawer underneath. Both daughters love it!
The quality is great and my kids love it so much. The staff installed is very well.
We are delighted with this set of bunk beds. Our primary school aged children (who share a bedroom) absolutely love sleeping in them with the added bonus of floorspace freed up for games and toys. However, the best benefit is the in build shelving units where all manner of books and toys are stored. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Beautiful bunk bed.worth the wait for sure..delivery men were very professional and polite so glad I payed the extra to have it out together.very happy with my purchase
Excellent well made comfortable bunk bed which my grandchildren love and they slept so well too
Excellent bed, very sturdy and the delivery guys were great. So glad we paid extra to have the bed built! Only comment would be the top of the steps is a straight edge rather than curved - one of the corners was a bit sharp so we had to sand down. The images on your website need to be updated to reflect this. Otherwise, delighted with this bed!
Sturdy bed with handy shelves. The drawer isnt on runners so can be hard to pull out but great apart from that.
Bunk beds are fabulous and look really lovely in the room HOWEVER! Would really recommend the added assembly… an option we did not choose and instantly regretted. Lots of steps and lots of parts but once up, look really great!
Easy to assemble and good quality materials, would highly recommend.
This is a fantastic bed. It is very well made and is solid. The shelves help keep the bed tidy and stop objects falling down the back of the bed. It is suitable for older children as it is sturdy, but does not have a guard rail.
These are fantastic bunk beds. The girls (aged 5 and almost 4) absolutely love them and have been sleeping soundly in them. They love the shelves as it means they can have cuddly toys and books close by and it means I dont have to constantly tidy toys from the end of the bed. The supplier was great arranging delivery with fantastic communication. We paid the extra for the assembly and I think it might be the best £50 Ive ever spent as theres no way we could have assembled them that fast.
Really straight forward to build- definitely a 2 man job. Really sturdy one up. No creaks or squeaks from the wood. Delivery was quick and efficient. Service is store was brilliant Would highly recommend
