About the Dream Team Ultimate Washable 4.5 Tog Duvet
Last checked
Smartfil® fibre and a 4.5 tog rating define this as a lightweight synthetic duvet rather than a year-round duvet. The important spec is the tog. At 4.5 tog it sits in the summer bracket, so the warmth expectation is deliberately modest: enough cover to avoid the bare-sheet feel, but not the insulation of a 10.5 tog all-season duvet or a 13.5 tog winter build. Dream Team’s more useful claim is washability, because the ultrasonic seam sealing is meant to reduce fraying and loose threads when the whole duvet goes through the machine, while the quick-drying emphasis makes more sense here than it would on a heavier, loftier fill. This is an honest construction for warm weather: synthetic Smartfil® has the care advantage over natural-fill duvets, but without a stated fill weight or cover fabric the sensible reading is practical, easy-care bedding rather than a premium drape-and-loft piece. The structure also points to easier storage, since low-tog duvets usually compress more readily than thick winter options, although the trade-off is less envelope-like weight on the body.
The 4.5 tog rating makes the fit clearest for warm sleepers, summer bedrooms and households that want a duvet easy to wash without waiting ages for it to dry. Feedback repeatedly describes it as light, fluffy enough to feel cosy, and cool enough for warmer nights, which lines up with the low tog and breathable Smartfil® positioning rather than contradicting it. The shorter reviews also make the thinness hard to ignore; for some that is exactly the point, but anyone wanting a heavier tucked-in feel may find the low loft too slight compared with an all-season duvet. There are no repeated durability complaints in the sample, and one longer use note says shape held after several washes, so the seam-sealed construction appears to be doing the job buyers notice most: keeping the duvet serviceable after laundering. Seasonal warmth is the real boundary. For warm sleepers wanting a washable summer duvet, this is the right call. For cold bedrooms or anyone who wants weight and winter cosiness, look at a 10.5 tog all-season or 13.5 tog winter duvet instead.

This duvet is perfect for the warmer months. Its super light but still feels cosy, and I love that its machine washable — makes life so much easier! It dries quickly too, which is a bonus. The quality feels great, and it hasnt lost its shape after a few washes. Definitely recommend if youre looking for a summer duvet thats easy to care for.
We bought this ready for the summer after buying the 10.5 tog for the cold weather we're having at the moment. The 10.5 tog is light and fluffy, but so warm and toasty, going to bed is an absolute pleasure. So when it gets too warm and the weather breaks we'll have the perfect, cooler, snuggy solution to those warm summer nights too. Love, love, love them!!!
I am really enjoying my comfortable, fluffy and warm duvet.
Super thin, and keeps me cool at night well worth it, nice and snug too
