About the Dunlopillo® Serenity Comfort Pillow

Last checked

Anyone trying to replace an older Dunlopillo without moving into a tall, sculpted pillow should read the Serenity Comfort as a standard pillow first, not as a topper or a shaped therapy block. The evidence points to a lower-profile feel: several satisfied buyers specifically liked that it avoided the too-high, too-hard sensation that had made other replacement pillows fail, while praise for head-and-neck cushioning is more consistent than praise for plush sink. It sounds modest, not showy. The customer-facing proposition positions it as a feel-led comfort pillow rather than a technical posture-correction build; compared with contoured memory-foam pillows, its case rests on everyday neck support and durable resilience rather than a moulded profile or adjustable fill system. One practical extra does come through in owner feedback: the supplied protector is treated as a useful part of the package and easy to wash, which matters because the pillow itself is the expensive component buyers are trying to preserve. The honest call is that this has to earn its premium through comfort over years, not through a complex construction story; at this tier, longevity and repeatable neck comfort are doing the heavy lifting.

The fit turns on height and adaptation time: the strongest positive theme is a low-profile pillow that cushions head and neck without forcing the chin up, which makes it more persuasive for back sleepers and some smaller-framed side sleepers than for anyone needing a high side-sleeper wall. Sleep quality improves when the sleeper wants support rather than bulk. Long-term durability is the standout praise point, with one substantive seven-year experience backed by the broader sense that it feels well made, and that durability signal partly answers the price objection raised in the lower ratings. Comfort remains divisive for some sleepers. A recurring complaint is that the pillow does not feel special enough for the money, and the harsher feedback includes waking with headaches or abandoning it because the expected comfort never arrived; that contradicts the “perfect neck support” experiences and shows how dependent this pillow is on personal loft preference. The protector is easy care, but the pillow is a gamble if past pillows have only worked when very soft, very high or explicitly shaped. If the aim is a lower, supportive Dunlopillo-style pillow with a credible longevity story, this works; if pressure-free contouring or clearly specified materials are the priority, a higher-spec adjustable-fill or contoured memory-foam pillow tier makes more sense.

My husband has had a dunlopillo pillow for years and I've tried a few times to replace it. At last I was successful with the Serenity. Previous attempts were pillows which were too high or too hard but this was more a low profile. It was a big help that he was able to try out various pillows (on display for this purpose) on beds in the Bensons showroom.

Comfortable but a bit pricey for the level of comfort. I will wait to see if they last longer than other pillows we have had. Comes with a nice protector that is easy to wash.

Very comfortable. Not to thick or super thin like some pillows. Quite soft but maintains its shape beautifully.

Me and my partner bought this pillow 7 years ago! We don't even need to replace them, but we'll be buying 2 more soon so that when they do eventually wear, we won't be without them. These pillows are amazing, great quality and super comfortable. Well worth the money. Everyone else I know spends about £50 a year on a pillow, mine has lasted me 7 years and I've spent what my friends would in 2 years on 7 years worth and it still is going strong! I loved it straight away, but my brother bought it and hated it, I told him to keep trying and get used to it and within 2 weeks he called me and told me that he's ordered another one and he now loves it
