About the Sealy Posturepedic Elevate Sandridge Combination Mattress
Last checked
The Sandridge is a coil-and-foam Sealy combination mattress, pairing AlignSupport coils with INFUSE Black Diamond Graphite memory foam, plant-based Eco ComfortCore foam and a SmarTex Plus / ProShield cover endorsed by Allergy UK. It is sold as firm, 5 of 5, and the construction backs that up: the spring unit is there to push back under the pelvis and lumbar area rather than let the body settle deeply into foam. This is a support-first build. The graphite memory foam is the headline comfort layer, but its practical role is more modest than the branding suggests; graphite can help disperse heat within the foam, yet it does not turn a firm memory-foam surface into an actively cold one. Against cheaper open-coil mattresses, the edge casing and coil-and-foam pairing are the more grown-up parts of the spec, because they target usable width and steadier support rather than simply adding padding. Against the £700-plus pocket-sprung hybrid tier, however, the language is more proprietary than transparent: there is no spring count or zoning detail here, so the support should be read as firm and stabilising rather than finely body-mapped. The plant-based foam is a useful sustainability nudge, not a natural-fibre comfort layer.
Firm support is the main reason this suits back sleepers and some front sleepers, especially those who dislike the slow, enveloping feel of full memory foam. Sleep quality praise tends to centre on the same things the spec promises: a solid surface, less overheating than expected, and edges that stay usable when lying or sitting near the side. The edge support gets noticed. Several positive comments also connect the resistance from the springs with better support than an all-foam mattress, which makes sense for a firm combination build where the coil unit is doing more of the posture work. The trade-off is sinkage: side sleepers, particularly those with broader hips or shoulders, may find the surface too unyielding because the mattress does not appear designed around deep pressure relief. The clearest criticism is not failure or sagging, but feel adjustment - someone moving from full memory foam found the bounce took getting used to - and that is a real construction difference, not a fault. There is also little in the feedback sample to suggest plush cushioning, so those wanting a soft shoulder cradle should treat the comfort branding cautiously. If the sleeper is a back sleeper wanting firm, cooler-feeling support with strong edges, this works. If the priority is side-sleep pressure relief or a low-bounce foam hug, a medium hybrid or plusher memory-foam hybrid makes more sense.

This sealy posturepedic mattress is fantastic it's better than our last sealy mattress best buy
I have medical issues which causes me a lot of pain . Sleep was very sporadic my old bed was a nightmare to negotiate. I went to Dreams to look at beds . I came away with with an electric bed and mattress which enables me to get in and out of bed with minimal effort sit in bed and read lay with back raised to help alleviate coughing and make breathing easier . The lower section I could raise and it reduced pressure and helped with restless leg syndrome. I must admit I spend more time on my bed than in any other room in the house. I am so pleased I purchased this bed from Dreams . Denise
Good service everything on time very pleased with the mattress all ok
Comfiest firm mattress ever. Delivery men helpful and courteous.
Wonderful mattress, has really made a difference for my son, he's sleeping so much better now.
Great service from the Dreams team, mattress is comfortable, after a full memory foam mattress it took a while to get used to the bouncing of the mattress
Easy to choose as all the recommended beds were available to test in the store. Delivery was timely and slick. The bed is really comfortable.
Really very happy with this mattress, firm but comfortable and from night 1 Ive had the best nights sleep Ive had in years! Laying on this feels like your whole body is being supported which is ideal for those aches and pains. Very happy.
A lovely bed chosen via the mattress analyser in store. Exactly what we needed, although it surprised us with just how deep the matress was. For a few nights it felt like 'the Princess and the Pea' - but now we're used to it and sleep well.
This is the most comfortable mattress Ive ever had. The service was first class
I'd not previously invested heavily into mattresses, shan't make that mistake again. Can't recommend not just the product, but also the process
So far so good - wish I bought it 4 years ago when I bought the previous mattress that was supposed to cure my back pain.
Lovely firm mattress but with a nice cushioning at the top. Exactly how I expected it to be or even better. I really like the solid side support panels.
We got this mattress to replace our full foam mattress. We wanted to move back to a traditional mattress feel and are so pleased we did. This mattress is very firm with superb edge support. At first we thought we had made the wrong decision but after a few nights we adjusted to the feeling and are sleeping better than ever. I know some people love the no springs mattress and whilst it was comfy I just prefer springs. I am happy with this mattress - if you like a firmer feel with a little bit of movement then this is for you.
We were unsure about purchasing a pillow top mattress but I have to say it was one of the best decisions we have made. The mattress is exactly how we like it and is superbly made. I can see us using Sealy again based on how good this mattress is.
Very comfortable and supportive mattress. Great for people who sleep on the edge as the edges are well supported. Highly recommend this mattress.
After trying about 10 different mattresses we finally settled on this one. I suffer from Spinal issues and my husband has hip and knee problems, and this mattress has been the best for both of us. I have to say the service we got and the time we spent in the store was wonderful. Highly recommend this mattress
