About the Sealy Elevate Ultra Daito Mattress

Last checked

AlignSupport coils, MemoryFlex foam, a MemorySense comfort core and UniCased XT edging make the Sealy Elevate Ultra Daito a coil-and-foam combination mattress rather than a simple sprung bed. This is a support-led mattress. The stated feel is firm, 5 of 5, and the maker’s softer “medium feel” language should be treated cautiously because both the supplied firmness rating and the strongest owner pattern point to a genuinely firm surface with a cushioned top, not a deep-sinking mattress. The build is honest in where it spends its money: reinforced edges, branded coil support, climate fabric, Tencel fibres and Allergy UK-endorsed ProShield treatment all sit in the practical comfort-and-support zone rather than in visible show features. A patented coil unit with perimeter casing is a more serious support package than open-coil mattresses, particularly for people who sit on the edge or sleep near the side, but the absence of a spring count, depth and foam thickness makes the spec less transparent than the better-documented premium hybrid tier. The comfort layer is doing contouring, not softness for its own sake; MemoryFlex and the MemorySense core are there to take some edge off the tension while keeping the sleeping platform quite controlled.

Back sleeping is where the construction and the feedback line up most cleanly. Back sleepers get the cleanest match. Positive reviews repeatedly describe an immediate improvement in sleep quality, less morning back discomfort, a firm base with enough surface give to settle into, and edge support that keeps its shape when sitting or lying near the side; that fits the reinforced casing and pressure-relief foam above a firm coil system. Side sleepers are the risk group, especially those with pronounced shoulders or hips, because the same firmness that steadies the lumbar area can leave too little give at the contact points, and one of the strongest low-scoring experiences describes shoulder and hip pain from a bed that felt much harder than expected. Smell is the other major warning sign: multiple lower-rated reviews describe an acrid chemical odour lingering for weeks, severe enough to make the room difficult to sleep in, so the anti-allergy and freshness messaging does not fully match that part of the real-world feedback. One recent account also flags a centre ridge with softer sides, which is not a repeated theme but is serious enough to note beside the otherwise positive edge-support comments. If the priority is firm back support with some foam contouring on top, this works. If the sleeper is mainly side-sleeping, sensitive at the hips and shoulders, or wary of off-gassing complaints, a medium pocket-sprung hybrid with plusher comfort layers makes more sense.

The base of this bed should be stunning as it was in store but as it has parts missing wee were not pleased at all hopefully the new part that dreams are sending out will be better

Great mattress - firm yet comfortable. It could have done with some grab handles on all edges to make it easier to move about - especially on a SK! Great service and price!

Great mattress, suggested by the staff at the Dreams Eastbourne store after trying the Sleepmatch technology. Delivery was excellent - knowledgeable, competent & friendly staff who maneuvered our super king sized mattress with ease, and took their shoes off at the door without being asked. Very impressed after a very different negative experience with John Lewis delivery crews recently! Very pleasantly surprised by Dreams.

Excellent so far but it is brand new so it should be. It is what it is like in 5 years time that counts.

Best mattress we've had so far. Both of us commented that we didn't wake up once the first few nights we had the mattress as our sleep was so sound. The old mattress we had feels very saggy in comparison and we're really glad we upgraded despite it costing as much as a tidy small second hand car.

This product is amazing. I had an operation on my disc hernia between my L4 L5 vertebrae 4 years ago, i was not able to walk for 2 months by then and be mobile and functional again after long physio therapies. Since then every morning when i wake up i was stiff, needed to do stretching and pilates every morning in order to be functional again. Last month we went to dreams, told the representative about my problem and suggested this mattress which is amazing. I am waking up like i had no issues in my back before, no pain, no stiffness. Shorter but well rested sleeps… This is an incredible product, the support it provides helps my body recharge the necessary energy to my muscles. I am very happy with my choice. Thanks to the team in Dreams New Malden

worth the money. It has optimal support for the whole body. You feel very confident Either sleeping on the back or sleeping on the side. Surprisingly the edges also got a firm support.

Excellent mattress, comfortable and does not collapse when seat on the edge.

Very comfortable initially when the mattress was on Divan base. However, since placing on recently purchased Tempur Realm sprung slat bed frame this is no longer the case. The sprung slat base softens the feel of the mattress and consequently the mattress does not provide the support that it initially did. For someone needing firm support for lower back issues this mattress is great on a solid base but not on sprung slat base. Regretfully may have to try to exchange within the 40 day exchange window.

I suffer really bad with my back and legs, thus buying this mattress, now when I wake up in the morning I can jump straight out of bed without any serious back or leg pains and I suffer with degenerative disc disease and a bulging disc. This mattress moulds to you're body so there's not that gap between you're back and the mattress. Highly recommended and well worth every penny
