Firmness rating: Extra Firm
A firm tension mattress is perfect for those who are potentially heavier than average, also commonly recommended across the web for those suffering from back pain. This mattress provides support to the entire body, and still has a high quality comfort layer to provide the comfort necessary to get a great nights sleep. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this level of firmness for side sleepers as your shoulders and hips do not typically have the amount of travel through the mattress to not contort your body. Mileage will of course vary but we love this mattress for back and stomach sleepers.

It is my personal preference that pocket springs are superior to other forms of supports. Other popular support layers include open coil traditional spring and reflex foam, but neither offer the same degree of body contouring and longevity that you get from a pocket spring mattress. The price might be slightly higher, but we feel it is worth it.

We wanted a Very Firm mattress to help with back issues and this Staples Ortho 2000 Z&L mattress has so far been perfect. It was as firm as we wanted without being like a slab of concrete. It was easy was to deliver being in 2 parts and zipped together easily.
Best sleep I've ever had, every single night. Every morning I wake up feeling so refreshed. Best gift to myself ever.
I need an extra firm mattress for my body to feel good, this mattress has unfortunately let me down. I didn't know that after a few months a permanent dip would appear where the heaviest part of me lays. I am now out of alignment when I sleep, resulting in aches. My husband is totally happy with this mattress.
