Silentnight Mattresses Compared & Scored (2026)
BedBoy earns a commission on outbound retailer links. Editorial scoring is independent of commission rates. How this works →
Silentnight is a UK mattress manufacturer founded in 1946 and based in Barnoldswick, Lancashire. By production volume it is the largest mattress brand in the UK, and its bedding sits on the shop floor of every major national retailer including Dreams, Bensons for Beds, Mattress Online and John Lewis. BedBoy currently indexes 109 Silentnight products: 99 mattresses, plus a small range of pillows and bed frames.
What Silentnight builds
The catalogue is built around pocket-spring construction. The Mirapocket range is the volume seller and covers spring counts from 800 up to 2800, paired with comfort layers that range from polyester fibre at the budget end to Geltex (Silentnight's gel-infused open-cell foam) on the hybrid tier. Eco Comfort is the brand's recycled-fibre filling line, marketed as a step away from petrochemical memory foam. Silentnight also licences out a sub-brand, Layezee, that sits below the main range on price.
Where Silentnight sits on price
Mattresses we have indexed run from £87 at the entry tier to £1,299 at the top of the Geltex hybrid range. The bulk of the catalogue lands in the £200 to £800 mid-tier band, which is the segment Silentnight competes in hardest. Pillows and toppers from the same brand run £25 to £60.
How we score Silentnight on BedBoy
Every Silentnight product on the site is scored against the same seven categories as the rest of the catalogue: comfort, edge support, motion isolation, heat retention, value, retailer guarantee and customer sentiment. Each category is rated 0 to 5 by an editor applying the published rubric to manufacturer specification and aggregated customer-review signals. Brands cannot pay to move a score.
