About the Silentnight Eco Bunk Kids Mattress
Last checked
Traditional open springs do most of the work in the Silentnight Eco Bunk Kids Mattress, with breathable EcoComfort fibres above them and a knitted, hypoallergenic sleep surface aimed at children who run warm or react to rougher covers. The tension is firm, 5 of 5, so the support story is straightforward rather than plush. An open-spring core in a bunk mattress is a conservative, honest construction choice: it keeps weight and height practical for a raised frame, but it will not contour independently under hips and shoulders in the way a pocket-sprung children’s mattress can. Support is broad and uniform. That makes the “full-body support” claim plausible in plain terms, especially for a child lying flat on their back, but it is not a profile-aware design with targeted zones or a deep comfort stack. The foam-free surface is the more distinctive part of the spec, because many cheaper children’s mattresses lean on basic polyurethane padding for softness; here, the fibre layer is doing the comfort and breathability job instead. Expect a simple, firmer-feeling bunk mattress with a cleaner, cooler top layer rather than a padded mini-adult mattress.
Used on a top bunk, the appeal is the combination of manageable weight, sensible bunk-bed proportions and a firmer feel that keeps a child from sinking too far into the surface. Praise repeatedly centres on it being the right size and height for bunk frames, light enough to lift when changing bedding, and good value for a child’s spare or everyday bed. The breathable fibre story also lines up with lived use: the surface is described as comfortable without sleeping hot, and the kinder-feeling cover comes up positively for sensitive skin. The firmer tension makes most sense for back sleepers and some front sleepers, while side sleepers, particularly children with more pronounced hip-and-shoulder pressure points, may find the surface too flat unless a topper is added. Comfort is where the limitations show. This is described as a simple mattress rather than a cosy one, and the need to add a topper for extra softness is a useful warning rather than a defect; one buyer also noticed a plasticky-feeling underside, so it should be treated as a one-sided bunk mattress in practice. The Silentnight Eco Bunk Kids Mattress suits bunk-bed back sleepers needing a light, breathable, no-frills children’s mattress; those prioritising cushioned side-sleeping comfort should look instead at a softer pocket-sprung or foam-topped kids mattress.

Specifications
Manufacturer specifications without the jargon, easy to scan and compare.
Firm comfort support rating - feels solid and supportive
A firm comfort support rating indicates a mattress that provides a robust sleep surface, offering substantial support for the spine and pressure points. This level of firmness is particularly well-suited for individuals who prefer a stable and supportive sleeping area, often helpful for those with back pain or those who sleep on their stomach or back.
100 Night Comfort Guarantee - gives you peace of mind when you buy
A 100 Night Comfort Guarantee allows for a trial period where the product can be tested in your own home environment to see if it meets personal comfort standards. If it doesn't meet your expectations, it can be returned for a refund or exchange, offering flexibility and assurance in purchasing decisions.
Slimline 14cm depth - perfectly safe for bunk beds
Slimmer depth can make climbing in and out feel safer, with less chance of rolling out from a raised sleeping surface. Comfort can feel less cushioned than deeper options, which may suit lighter sleepers but disappoint anyone wanting a plusher feel.
Eco-friendly recycled fillings - for sustainable, breathable comfort
Recycled fillings contribute to environmental sustainability and offer a comfortable sleep surface. The breathable design enhances air circulation, helping to regulate temperature.
Anti-allergy protection - hypoallergenic for sensitive sleepers

I got this SN kids bunk mattress for the grandchild and its been a solid little buy. It feels nicely firm and the cover seems kind on sensitive skin, which is a relief. It rolled out easily and doesnt get too warm through the night. Not the fanciest thing in the world, but it does the job and everyones sleeping better.
Definitely worth buying, specially if you have kids. It's comfortable, breathable and suits back sleepers perfectly.
Good, beautiful and easy to purchase at a low price
Well packaged, very comfortable and good value for money.
Good quality mattress and the right size for a top bunk.
Lovely mattress but its a bit boney for my sons back
We ordered the silent night eco kids bunk mattress. The mattress is nice all I would say is I expected the mattress to be the same material both sides but the mattress bottom is plastic feeling rather than material so its not reversible but thats okay. The soonest delivery date was weeks away which was a little disappointing but when delivery was due the communication from the drivers was great and they were really friendly, wore shoe covers to pop mattress into room which was considerate!
This was the right size and height for a 2nd mattress on a bunk bed. Very pleased with quality. The staff at Dreams were amazing and helpful.
Simple mattress; perfect height for bunk beds with side bars and light to take in and out to make the upper bunk bed. Have used a mattress topper to make it more cozy.
Featuring Silentnights EcoComfort fibres, this mattress offers enhanced breathability and exceptional support.
Seems like a nice mattress - we got two for bunk beds and our kid is very happy! They are reasonably lightweight hence good or bunk beds but they seem comfy :)
Good mattress, my girls are very comfortable sleeping on them
Fantastic value for money, light enough to move without struggling
