About the Silentnight Koko Changer
Last checked
A removable changing top over three deep drawers is the defining spec here, turning the Silentnight Koko from a nursery changer into a standard chest once nappies and mats are no longer part of the routine. The finish is kept deliberately calm, with white or grey options, softened edges and cut-out drawer pulls rather than protruding handles. That is a practical nursery choice. The storage layout is fair for the category: three drawers give better day-to-day reach than a cupboard-style changer, especially for nappies, sleepsuits, muslins and creams, though it is still a compact chest format rather than a full wardrobe substitute. The detachable changer is the most useful feature because it extends the lifespan of the unit beyond the baby stage, which matters more here than decorative trim or oversized proportions. Against cheaper flat-pack nursery chests, the rounded detailing and handle-free front feel more child-conscious; against higher-tier nursery furniture, the specification is more functional than premium, with the value sitting in the dual-use design rather than in disclosed hardwood construction or standout hardware. Assembly is part of the ownership picture, too, because this is not described as arriving ready-built.
Parents furnishing a first nursery are the natural audience, particularly where a cot, changer and everyday clothing storage need to sit together without the room feeling busy. The repeated positives are visual and practical: the grey finish is described as calming, the surface as smooth, and the drawers as roomy enough to keep changing essentials close rather than scattered around the room. Several buyers also connect the removable top with easier night-time changes, which matches the spec’s promise of keeping storage and changing in one footprint. Drawer alignment is where confidence drops. The most critical feedback describes frustrating assembly and slightly uneven drawers, with panel quality blamed in that case; because the strongest praise focuses on appearance and storage rather than long-term robustness, this is better read as a neat nursery chest with useful capacity, not a heavy-duty heirloom piece. Style-wise it sits in the modern, understated nursery lane, pairing more naturally with pale cots and soft Scandinavian schemes than with dark wood or traditional carved furniture. Families needing a compact changer-chest get the most from it. Those wanting furniture to survive several children and frequent moves get too little - a fully assembled solid-wood nursery chest is the safer tier.

Painted wooden finish - classic wood grain enhanced with colour
Painted wood keeps the natural grain visible while adding a coloured look, which suits bedrooms that want warmth without a plain timber finish. Fine, expect paint to show chips and scratches sooner than an untreated surface, so it may need touch-ups if knocked.

Compact but spacious, this changer is a solid, functional investment. The soft edges, handy drawer space and easy to use design added ease to bedtime routines.
This KoKo nursery set looks so beautiful, the quality is top notch with a smooth finish A lovely calming grey colour Really impressed with these products
The Koko Chest is a great match to the Cot. Each drawer provides a good amount of storage keeping the nursery tidy all while still having your essentials close by. There is the added benefit of having a handy changing station on the top, making those night time change a little easier.
Quite frustrating to put together and the drawers are slightly wonky due to the quality of the wood. Dreams helpfully came out with some new drawers, which has improved it. They do look nice within the nursery though.
Great quality of the bed and the rest stuf in my order.
