About the Next Day Delivery - Dream Team Maidstone 1000 Pocket Sprung Mattress
Last checked
The Maidstone is about firmer, traditional support, not sink-in cushioning. Its 1000 individually wrapped pocket springs should respond more locally than an open-coil cage, so pressure from a hip or shoulder is less likely to drag the whole sleeping surface with it when weight shifts. That is a sensible budget-plus construction. A 1000-count pocket unit is honest rather than generous for this price-conscious pocket-sprung class; higher-tier hybrids and £700-plus pocket mattresses more often add mini springs, zoned support or a named comfort layer rather than relying on padding and tufting alone. The surface will not behave like memory foam. The comfort package is traditional: deep fillings, a soft-touch damask cover, an antibacterial finish and tufts that pin the layers down, which helps control movement in the fillings but can also make the top feel tighter and less pillowy than the manufacturer’s softer language suggests. The antibacterial finish is useful for freshness, though it is not the same thing as active cooling, and the damask cover points towards a crisp, conventional feel rather than the stretchy, slow-response surface found on foam-led hybrids.
The damask cover and tufting shape the fit. Buyers who like a firmer, more lifted position are the clearest audience here, and the strongest praise repeatedly centres on comfort, support, value and reduced neck or back niggles after replacing an older mattress. The firmness is the dividing line. A recurring complaint is that the mattress can feel much harder at home than expected, with lower-back pain appearing in the negative feedback; where the description talks about tailored comfort from pocket springs and soft fillings, owner experience is more polarised and should be treated as the better guide. Back sleepers and some stomach sleepers are more likely to get on with that tautness than side sleepers needing generous pressure relief at the shoulder and hip, although one substantive side-sleeper account was positive after moving away from memory foam. Couples should benefit from the pocket-spring format compared with open-coil mattresses, because each spring is separated and partner movement is less likely to ripple across the whole bed, but this is still a responsive, traditionally sprung mattress rather than a dead-feeling foam slab. Warm sleepers may prefer it to dense memory foam because there is no slow-sinking foam layer trapping the body, yet the spec gives no reason to expect specialist cooling beyond the fresher-feeling cover. Best suited to value-focused back sleepers, firmer-feel fans and foam avoiders; plush side sleepers or anyone with pressure-sensitive hips and shoulders will be better served by a pillow-top pocket sprung mattress or a higher-tier hybrid.

Firm comfort support rating - feels solid and supportive
A firm comfort support rating indicates a mattress that provides a robust sleep surface, offering substantial support for the spine and pressure points. This level of firmness is particularly well-suited for individuals who prefer a stable and supportive sleeping area, often helpful for those with back pain or those who sleep on their stomach or back.
100 Night Comfort Guarantee - gives you peace of mind when you buy
A 100 Night Comfort Guarantee allows for a trial period where the product can be tested in your own home environment to see if it meets personal comfort standards. If it doesn't meet your expectations, it can be returned for a refund or exchange, offering flexibility and assurance in purchasing decisions.
Antibacterial design - keeps your bed clean and fresh
This helps cut down bacteria and odours, so the sleep surface stays fresher between sheet changes. It can help with hygiene and allergies, though it still needs regular washing and airing because it will not stop sweat and skin oils building up.
Responsive pocket springs - individually wrapped for targeted support
Individually wrapped pocket springs adjust independently to body contours, offering personalized support and reducing motion transfer. This construction enhances comfort by evenly distributing body weight, ensuring restful sleep.
Double-sided design - flip regularly to keep your mattress fresh
Flipping the mattress regularly helps maintain its shape and prolongs its lifespan, ensuring consistent comfort. This feature also assists in distributing wear evenly, which can lead to a more restful sleep experience over time.

You can definitely feel the quality. Its nice and firm like I wanted and has helped my neck and back pain tremendously. The price was very reasonable also, so Ill definitely be purchasing mattress for the other bedrooms in my home from Dreams
Yet another well matched, top quality and perfect mattress.
Yes very comfortable and extremely good quality. I am happy.
Wow, what can I say, this mattress is just perfect. If you want a great night's sleep then I recommend this mattress. I brought it for the spare bedroom, but having slept on it for a couple of nights, I have now moved it to the main room as its so comfortable. From the moment we walked into the Dreams shop in Truro, the staff were so professional and knowledgeable about everything they were selling. I absolutely hate being pushed into buying something because of a price tag, but here at Dreams you don't get that, the staff are all about getting the right mattress for your needs and budget and more importantly your upmost comfort. From the beginning to the delivery, it was pure first class customer service, and that is very hard to come by these days. Thank you Dream team, you really do live up to the name of the company you work for, and I have already been recommending you to family and friends and will continue to do so.
Wow so comfortable and we cannot feel each other moving
Would say its quite firm so up to you if thats what you prefer. Really good quality though
Worth the money. Firm and supportive. Delivery staff was good as well.
Worried after the first night of sleep that it might be too firm but after a couple more nights felt a lot more comfortable sleeping on it. It's surprisingly light to lift and move. I'm very happy with my purchase
Wonderfully firm mattress, immediately improved my quality of sleep. Clocked a lower sleeping heart rate from the first night, would highly recommend!

Wonderful quality & service. Nothing was too much trouble for the delivery men!
Wonderful mattress; made all the difference. It's not the firmest pocket sprung that I've tried, so I don't know how well will it age, but so far, so good.
Wonderful mattress. I have previously bought this mattress before. Firm mattress and gives you a great night sleep!
